Some friends and I had a spare hour before an event in the area the other night and decided to grab some food. The only highly reviewed place around was Singburi. Though it’s a little out of the way, it was still bustling, always a good sign that it’s a favourite for many around. Also, it’s remote location made it more intimate and a good place to know for the future. I’m allergic to nuts which makes many Thai places difficult for me but the staff, all seemingly generations of the same family, were very accommodating. The food was all delicious and I would definitely recommend the Panang. The prices too were very good. My friend had a huge crab dish that was £12 that was easily the most expensive thing on the menu and according to her, ‘well worth it’. The fact that it’s BYOB also helps keep it very affordable. I would definitely return and hope to very soon!

Have been eating here for about 15 years, and love it now as much as I did the first time I visited. Thelma, Tony and Richie are so welcoming and the food is delicious. I’ve never been to Thailand, but a friend of mine has and says that the food at Singburi is up there with the best food she ate there. As a vegetarian, there is a good selection to choose from — not tofu laden and always really really fresh. The menu hasn’t changed for years, but that doesn’t bother me as all of my favourites are always available. If you’re into Thai food, give this one a try — you won’t regret it!

What a fantastic place to spend a special evening! They offered a set menu for two @ £20 each which included four different types of starters and three varieties of main courses including chicken, giant prawns and an exquisite salmon. A huge selection of wines we’re also available. The place is nicely decorated, with fancy golden mirrors and loads of Thai decorations, nothing fancy but neither offensive. The service is divine, no useless interruptions and happy contagious faces that make this place, worth the trip to Leytonstone high Just 30 minutes from Holborn in the central line.

From the outside, you wouldn’t necessarily choose to visit this restaurant. Its nothing fancy, the décor is a bit old fashioned and the tables are somewhat crammed in. This can all be overlooked however, in light of the food, which is excellent. Cooked to perfection, there is a good selection of dishes — curries, noodles and rice, as well as starters and soups — at reasonable prices, and you can bring your own drink too which is an added bonus! Service is good, and the staff are friendly. If you’re not fussy about the venue and you love thai food, I’d definitely recommend this restaurant.

The place is quite down to earth; nothing fancy. I will even describe it as uninviting. However, once I tried the food, everything else is no longer an issue. It serves the best Thai food that I ever tried in London. Greatest massaman beef curry with sweet potatoes ever! Your can ever bring your own wine! The staff are very friendly and cheerful. Great service, fantastic food and reasonably priced, what more can I ask for! We usually spend about £15 per person with our own wine great value and great food!
