I really wanted to love Scotchtails but I don’t think I am a fan of Scotch eggs in general. I do; however, recognize the quality of their products as they use free-range eggs with amazingly vibrant yolks and sustainable meat. The combination of the runny yolk, sausage meat and fried breadcrumb exterior was just a bit too much to handle for me and I found it to be overly rich. I had a bite of a mere half an egg and immediately felt too full to function, wishing there was a bed to lay on to nurse my instant food coma. If you’re partial to Scotch eggs, I’d definitely recommend a taste but if you’re not a fan of heavy foods then you may be better off without.

Not bad, it’s not to my liking though. Quite overpriced as one scotch egg with some fries came to £6.90. I thought I’d give it a try and I’m quite disappointed. The sweet potato fries although well seasoned, for me taste a bit sickly. The scotch egg was pleasant, meat was packed full of flavour. I’d still prefer the simple scotch egg you’d buy in the store. Overall food was mediocre, won’t be purchasing from them again though.

I was so surprised how good this was. The Pork Scotch egg was great but the star of the show was the sweet potato fries. I would buy these on it’s own. They were the best fries I’ve ever had. And that includes anything I have had normally with burger joints.
