Had dinner here last night. Nice pub and friendly staff. Food delivered promptly so all good. Had bangers and mash and was a little disappointing. Sausages were over cooked I think or maybe just not quality produce. Tasteless and chewy. But I would give it another go as it was still a pleasant place to spend time and not far off being a good pub.

Nice pub in a nice location. Nothing special although only stopped for some pimms. Nice and light inside and did see some traditional pub grub go by to other tables that looked good! Would go back if in the area

The chicken pie was delicious. It came with chips and a small portion of steamed veggies. We were there on a Sunday evening and the staff seemed tired. My husband ordered our food and drinks from the bartender and we were served relatively quickly.

In an area where it’s hard to find local spots this pub hits the spot. Stopped in and had the fish and chips which were $ 11.75. They were quite good and even included mushy peas. Reasonable prices, friendly(but slow) service. Very spacious and fills up with locals in the evening. Friday night by 5pm the bar was packed with people from about 25 years old to 40. Seemed like singles crowd to me.

Really nice Fullers pub. Close to Parliament Square. It was packed with local office workers having lunch. The pub had a really nice atmosphere to it. Nice to see a place that is so close to attractions, not being over touristy.

By far the best pub on a local crawl(so not up against the strongest of competition), in a large part due to them serving easily the tastiest beer of the day in Castle Rock Harvest Pale Spacious pub with a nice layout. They were showing football, but it was on real quiet like.

Hotel is in a great location. Friendly staff and a serviceable pub attached. If you are from Texas, you should order the nacos at the pub. It’s really fun to point out to anyone who will listen how the nacos are comically terrible. The salsa tastes like ketchup. –_-. Even so, a good place to grab a pint.

We dined in this authentic pub on a miserable evening in the middle of winter. It was one of the only restaurants in walking distance from our hotel that was open on a Sunday Night. I tasted possible the worst glass of luke warm merlot, and my companion’s hard Cider had a strange aftertaste that was not pleasant. The menu was mostly sold out. I had a venison pie that was very authentic and hearty, but I think my wine was served warmer. My companion had penne pasta in a watery sauce. It was drafty and the crowds were there for the televised dart competition, and they were into it! Our table was cramped and awkward and the restaurant was drafty. We were glad to have something in our bellies and we did not get sick after, so that’s a plus. seemed tone an authentic old pub/hotel and that was fun. And it was not expensive.

I was told that I must try a British pie, and living in Richmond, have had a very difficult time finding one. So, on my first visit to London I ended up on the corner featuring the Sanctuary Hotel and Pub — and they serve pies!!! I ordered a beer and the steak and mushroom pie. My husband ordered the Sanctuary pie. For some reason, they asked what kind of potatoes I wanted, so I told them one mashed and one new potato — and we ended up getting those potatoes plus a veggie and potato mix on the side. No one needs that many potatoes. The pies were decent. Not knowing what they’re supposed to taste like, I thought that they were a little dry, but overall decent. The restaurant itself was a perfectly fine, average pub in a hotel. I certainly won’t be rushing back, but would meet friends there if they asked.

Didn’t stay at the hotel. Went to the bar/restaurant 3 times. Great atmosphere, excellent food, but very spotty service. Good spot when it’s not busy. They don’t have enough staff and service suffered severely at peak times. Otherwise, don’t skip the pies!

Went mid-day for lunch, and had no trouble getting in. I ordered the grilled chicken with mushroom sauce, and it may have been the best chicken I have ever eaten. Awesome. The 4 guys with me all ordered english fish n chips and all said it was outstanding. Service was kind of slow, but I believe our waitress was relatively new, so I’ll give her a pass. Great English pub atmosphere, with lots of beers on tab. Would definitely go back if I’m ever in that area of London again.

This hotel was very centrally located in London, and about a block and a half from a tube stop. It sits on top of a Fuller’s Pub, which is a dependable, if average, place to get food and beer at all hours. The best part about this hotel was the complimentary breakfast, which was basically anything you could possibly want for free. Even the«continental» spread that they put out was very, very high quality cheeses, fruit, and baked goods. The worst part about this hotel is that it seems like the inmates are running the asylum. Everyone who works there is in their 20’s, and no one speaks English as their native language. I kept asking myself, «Where are the adults?» So don’t expect to lean on their local knowledge about London because none of them have been there very long either.

L’hôtellerie londonienne? Vaste programme !

I really, really want to LOVE this little gem in the big city of London, but I just… don’t. Just as they advertise, the bar on the first floor is a great addition to the older accommodations above. The first night we arrived we were too tired to go anywhere else and ended up at the WAY too brightly lit bar below. We sat for 10 mins. without being waited on until we were told we were sat in a «reserved» space for a party that was going on(there were no signs or indications of such). We felt dumb as we fumbled our way to another table, still waiting for ages to get served(we just wanted a beer!). Our waiter barely spoke English and we had to repeat our order several times. We did end up getting dinner and eating in the bar, and although the food was just, «eh», it filled us up enough not to complain too much(it is bar food after all). The other thing to note about the bar is that after 5pm there’s a heavy concentration of business men and women who crowd this bar making it much less enjoyable than if you went to a dive bar or nicer pub elsewhere and met more relaxed locals. The rooms are very small(at least ours was) and the construction outside made it nearly impossible to leave the window open for fresh air. The shower is an absolute nightmare to try and maneuver; it takes longer to figure out how to use the shower than take a shower! The rooms and hotel are old(er), that’s quite clear as you walk around the building and in your room where the wood floor underneath the carpeting creak with every step you take. I wouldn’t mind this so much, but the creaking wakes you up at night when the person you’re staying with gets up to go to the bathroom at 1am. The wake-up calls are totally efficient and got us going early every morning. The location itself is pretty good(echoing what several other reviewers have already said before me), but as far as I could tell there weren’t any really good pubs within walking distance to enjoy other than the brightly lit one below our room. The service was pretty good. They were patient with us even when we weren’t being patient over one thing or another(mostly with one another). However the huge miss here was the breakfast in the morning. It seemed so drab and just… boring. The best part of the breakfast was the toast(which isn’t saying a lot). The glasses for juice and water were so dirty one day that I didn’t drink out of them at all(yuck!). I don’t think I would chose to stay here again unless there was a great offer/deal. Surely there’s better options closer to the city-center. But it’s nice enough and great for a 1 or 2-night stay.

We had lunch at the Sanctuary Pub this past week. Here is what I can say: — lots of different pie offerings — at our table we tried the Chicken and Leek and Steak and Oyster — both of which were great — I had the Chicken wrapped with Bacon on Mash with a mustard sauce(very good) — Note — half a pint of beer was cheaper than a Coca-cola — Coffee and sticky toffee pudding with custard topped off the meal(can be shared by two) Meal was yummy! The place fills up fast — so if you want to go for lunch — be there a bit before noon. It is not a huge pub, so if you had a large group, it might not work out. Just steps from St James Park tube stop and Westminster Cathedral. Enjoy!

What to say about this pub. It’s a dependable Fullers Pie House which tends to get quite busy. The food is okay, the beer fine, the décor pleasant and the service reasonable. A-OK.

This also has a large Fullers pub on the ground floor. Beer not kept or poured well — a very flat pint indeed. Punters are civil servants or tourists using the hotel in the main. Bog standard pub grub available if you are really desperate for some fodder. On my visit saw a couple of dishes returned due overcooking of the«steak» 2⁄10. Much better options within 3 minutes walk. Best avoided.

Discovered this small hotel by chance and it really is a bit of a gem. Lovely rooms in a central location in Westminster. The rooms were clean and quite spacious by London standards. The palce was a little bit quirky with some problems at reception due to computers going on the blink. Got a good price here so felt it was value for money at the rate I paid. Would definitely go back except it is often fully bookedshame!
