Salt Spa

Have been going to the Salt Spa for many years now. It is really wonderful to be able to go to the same salon for this amount of time and to see that the therapists are as loyal to the business as they are to the clients. This makes the experience so enticing and it feels like home from home. The treatments are always done proficiently and professionally and they will try their hardest to fit you in. From a simple wax to an indulgent 90 minute deluxe facial, I am always pleased. I would highly recommend The Salt Spa and will continue coming here for years to come

Salt Spa is a small, welcoming beauty salon which looks enticing from the outside. I was excited to find it as they use Lycon hot wax rather than strip wax with fabric for bikini lines and brazilians. The hot wax method is much more efficient, hygenic and quicker. Especially for the bikini line area. Also, they are the only salon I could find in the area that uses this hot wax. Unfortunately both my visits there for waxing did not live up to my initial hopes. I have been two separate time to have my bikini line waxed and both times have found the aesthetician incredibly rough, the wax painfully hot and her manner offhand and brusque. When I explained that the wax was hot the therapist explained that this it’s just the sensitivity of that area of my body. She then placed a dab of wax on my leg to compare the temperatures. Unfortunately her theory was not true as the wax on my leg burned just as much as on my bikini line. My experience of how she did the wax was so unpleasant that while in the room I changed my booking from a brazilian to just a bikini line wax. Once home on both occasions I have come up in bruising in the next day or so.
You may be wondering why I went back a second time. I initially thought I may have caught the therapist (a woman named Sam) on a ‘bad day’ and was willing to give her another try. Plus, the salon is very convenient for me and I enjoy supporting small businesses in the area. However, I am disappointed to say I will not be returning again.
