This is a no frills Asian restaurant. Yes, it says that it is Vietnamese, but it really fuses many different cuisines. Don’t expect white table cloths with attentive service, but do expect excellent food, quickly and for a good price.
Caveat — we haven’t had the soups yet, but all of the rice and noodle dishes were great. Anything with black bean paste has been outstanding. Food comes quickly, and is in generous portions, we never leave here hungry.
If you want good food for a good price, and decent sized portions, this is your place.

Food is served quickly. The hot and sour soup is very temperature hot and quite spicy as well! Seafood in udon is fresh, though heavy on the fish cakes and generally flavorless. Or maybe my tongue was burnt from the soup and taste buds overwhelmed by the spiciness.
Service. I definitely didn’t feel welcome. I kind of felt like I was burdening them by eating at their establishment but whatever. It didn’t change the fact that the food was decent, and I was starving.

Not sure how authentic this restaurant is although their food comes speedy.
Reasonably priced menu makes me happy, portions are also huge. Watered down soup is the core to a bad noodle soup, therefore, noodle soups are avoidable at all cost.
Their peking duck looked quite good from the other tables…
Anyway, easy Vietnamese restaurant with peasy prices. Yay!

I think this place should be renamed. Called Saigon, I would expect them to be experts at Vietnamese food, when in return, it is their Chinese food that’s much better.
Prices here are wonderful; they probably even beat most places in the Chinatown area. I was soo excited to try the dishes but when mine came (the Vietnamese beef noodle salad), I was extremely disappointed. There were celery pieces in there… quite strange and something that I’ve never seen in Vietnamese vermicelli.
The dish was overwhelmingly salty, to the point where I just ate all the beef strips and left everything else. I highly do not recommend. As for the other dishes, my friends seemed to enjoy it, so if I do come back I will try the other stuff.

The food here is decent but I found it kinda odd. While its supposedly a Vietnamese eatery, the menu offered a number of Chinese dishes including Szechuan pork and westernized Sweet & Sour prawns.
I ordered a vermicelli noodle dish which I thought would be a big bowl of thicker noodles and other things tossed in. What I got was a plate of thin, stir fried noodles that was exactly what i used to get at a Malaysian place.
Again, the food was decent and service and prices were fine. I suppose a few more trips are needed in order to figure out the styles.

Went there with my husband & two boys who are both under 4 and was very pleased. Had the all you can eat menu which was lovely, a bottle of wine and 2 fresh apple juices all for £45! The only problem was that they don’t have highchairs but otherwise great!!! We’ll be going back!

Perfect place to have a hearty, tasty meal at the end of a long working day. The portions are massive and taste far nicer than the average chinese take-​out/​restaurant. The restaurant is spacious and I would recommend Saigon to anyone. It is just a shame they do not deliver as I would be ordering my dinner from Saigon far more regularly otherwise.
