Great full English! Had a pint and a full English for £11. Great service, food and relaxed music!

While the service was good, the food here is disgusting. The fish and chips was probably one of the worst I’ve ever had. You can tell that the fish they used was frozen because it was extremely mushy and the breading pretty much fell off the fish. As for the Steak pie, it was okay, except that they oversalted it as it was barely edible. I was hoping they would at least get the chips fried correctly but that was a failure since they were soggy. Although they had a solid beer selection on tap, avoid this place if you’re looking for a place to eat. Only redeeming quality is the one waitress working her butt off. 2 stars.

Spent a week in London and this was the only pub worth going back to. The Royal Oak had a great atmosphere and is a good place to chill with friends. Dawn, the owner, made us feel welcome and was a fantastic host. Everything arrived quickly after we ordered and tasted great. I highly recommend getting the Chili Cheese Chips to start off. Definitely a must visit in the Westminster area.

Came here originally for dinner but it was already 9p(the sun was out still) but kitchen was closed. Went to eat somewhere else but had to come back for a beer! The ambiance is really chill and the music and beer rock! Would recommend it for sure

Had the fish and chips(light batter, succulent fish) and the steak and ale pie(add your chips to the dish to make it great) Really yummy with a small town vibe. From puppies in the bar to a Californian running it. Warm welcome and great experience here in London on vacation.

We tried this pub since it was close to our hotel and seemed to have some good reviews. The staff was very friendly and the pub was clean and well kept. Unfortunately it is downhill from there as the food was not very well prepared. My wife and I both ordered the roast beef. The beef was over cooked and dry. The vegetables were over cooked as well and the potatoes were tough on the outside and mushy on the inside. Neither of us came close to finishing our meals I paid up and we went somewhere else to eat. Based on our experience I would not recommend this establishment.

I visited the Royal Oak on 17.11.2014. I went in as I liked the look of the pub. Staff were excellent. It’s the type of pub I love, was visiting from Doncaster for a few days, a top pub, well worth a visit, it’s the type of pub I would happily work in.

Old school English pub close to Vincent Square park. Nice spot for a quiet lunch.

The sort of neighborhood pub you’d see in typical London movies. A few tables, reasonable menu with the quintessential British pub food classics, a friendly and warm atmosphere and locals who indulge in vast quantities of beers and ciders. Quick service, decently priced. The honeyed mash with gravy is very good. Went there on a Sunday at 2pm and it was well-attended. Can only recommend, especially for the typical London pub atmosphere.

Nice small neighborhood pub. Walked over from our hotel for lunch and were happy with the place. I had the fish and chips which was prepared well … Light batter, not oily or «fishy». It was 1:30 on a Sunday so not too many people. The lady behind the bar was pleasant and efficient. They have a couple of small tables outside. They do serve breakfast from 11 – 3 which was not stated on their website or Unilocal.Prices were very reasonable. Would recommend it if you are looking for a casual atmosphere and good pub food.

Ate a late breakfast in here with the team from work at the suggestion of a colleague. It was my first time here, but I liked it — it’s clean and airy with a decent menu. The breakfast was good with very nice bread for toast making it a little special. They also had no problem making the breakfast veggie friendly for one of the team and dealt with requests to swap out certain items without complaint. In fact the customer service was excellent. I’ll be back — if only to see one of the team fail horribly at the man vs food challenge they have going — I can’t even imagine the size of a 50 Oz burger!

Stressful day in the office? Is that office in the St James Park area? Then The Royal Oak is the place to be. A selection of beers, spirits and mixers. Fast service, bit grubby but fun nonetheless and the quiz machine supplies hours of entertainment. Another London pub done well.

An excellent local pub favoured by local residents and office workers alike(mostly civil servants who work in offices on Horseferry Road). It is clean, tidy and warm. Landlord Dominic is a loveable chap and very congenial. Their best pint is a Young’s Special. The staff are always friendly and more like neighbours(indeed most of them are). Limited food available in the evening, which is a shame. My favourite local pub!

Fantastic, small London pub. Full of after work-types and a few locals. Quieter as the evening gets on which makes it a nice place to sit down and have a drink. Great real ale and it has a real landlord rather than a soul-less manager.
