The location, horses, Hyde park are all 5 stars. Have given the business 1 star. This is because: 1. sent credit card details to book a ride via their secure website. They emailed them back in full(inc sec number on the back) to my Hotmail account when confirming the time /date… 2. The«private lesson» was actually a «private ride», i. e zero instructions, feedback. Very little talking. 3. The staff were rude… i. e ignored customers when they came in for their ride, seemed annoyed when people asked for helmets etc.

Better ride, better horses, better price than the competition. I tried both stables that allow you to lease horses for an hour through Hyde Park, and hands down, this is the better stable for those with horse experience.

Just got back from a nice hack through the park. Had a blast and was allowed to trot and canter quite a bit along the paths. My guide was personable and sweet and the horses were fabulous and seemed to enjoy their job. Kirsty the owner, was kind, patient and trusted me when I told her I had extensive riding experience. Great time, worth the price. Would come again!

Some of my English friends grew up on the country. Since childhood they have a passion for ridding and one of them even ended up being a Polo player. There is a Rotton Row horse-riding path in Hyde Park. On the Lancaster Gate side of Hyde Park there are horse stables where professionals as well as beginners can go horse ridding. The Riding Stables is run by the Ross Nye family over generations. I know this sounds very idyllic — who would have thought this is possible to go riding in London. The dream might get smashed when the prices are revealed. But isn’t ridding in Hyde Park also a bit crazy too? That day I was supposed to go, it was raining as usual. However, my friend decided to take his booked lesson and enjoyed getting up early that Sunday morning. The mounts were beautiful and not at all your usual ‘riding school plods’. He went on a decent ride through the famous ‘Rotten Row’ and had a lovely canter ‘up the mile’. You need to have a couple of lessons, before you are allowed to gallop with the horse to proof thaving the ridding skills. Personally, I prefer riding out in nature, but I think this would be a very thoughtful present for anyone who is a horse lover. Make sure you book your ride in advance to avoid disappointment.
