Honestly the best culinary shop in London. If he doesn’t have it, he’ll order it in, but it’s going to take a lot for him not to stock what you’re looking for. This is a treasure trove of cooking equipment, and not the cheap tacky stuff. Pots, pans, baking trays, roasters, crêpe pans, cast irons… They’re all upstairs awaiting your selection. Beautiful displays of cutlery, kitchen towels and other equipment are available. Downstairs you’ll find dishes and dining ware along with speciality items, Bannetons for bread, preserving jars, cheese boards. They’re all down there somewhere. From the outside you wouldn’t even guess that so much was stuffed in there. And yet it doesn’t feel crowded. The proprietor is a charming French gentlemen, a true example of the way things were, attentive, knowledgable and always happy to see people. I’ve been coming here for years, and will continue to do so.

If you love kitchen/cookware, Richard Dare is worth a visit. On 2 floors(quite small), but packed to the rafters. Lovely picnicware too. Good selection of knives. Nice place to buy a foodie friend a gift.

I am no kitchen person, I barely know how to turn on my oven and struggle preparing something as simple as an omelet but that doesn’t say I wouldn’t enjoy occasionally browsing around what there is in the markets. Oh and there is, cooking has become a serious business and for that you need professional equipments and even I know that Richard Dare is one of the top shops for that. Stocking shiny cookware, accessories, pats and pots. For me it is good fun trying to figure out what to do with all these equipments but I am for anyone into cooking, this is a heaven.

Umm, can I move in here? Please? Seriously, if you’re something of a foodie like me, or just have a soft spot for gorgeous kitchenware, *this* is your died-and-gone-to-copper-pot-heaven. I can pretty much guarantee that if there’s a cooking implement you’ve ever coveted or lost or even just wished existed — from onion goggles that thwart tears to sandwich makers designed for use with a campfire — they have it here. All gimmickry aside, they’ve also got all the top-quality name brand skillets and pots and pans, plus beautiful tableware and some intriguing and very-French sounding bottles of sauces and soups. There’s also an assortment of plain and seasonal cookie cutters — a true happy discovery for me since I’ve gone to other kitchenware stores in London for, say, a snowflake cookie cutter, and come away empty-handed. To cap it all off, if you’re still not sold… the store is beautiful and the service courteous and helpful. If you’re in any way an aficionado of epicure, this is definitely worth a pilgrimage.

This is a cool little kitchen and glassware shop. It has lots of things you would only need if you are into speciality cooking. If you live in Primrose Hill and can afford to shop here then you probably are. You don’t NEED anything in here but I have to admit it would be great to have my kitchen fitted with these supplies. It even has some foods in glass jars for sale such as fish soup, a bit salty for my tastes, but if you are having a craving and are in a pinch it will work just fine. It has two flours of cool cooking supplies and has friendly informative staff. My mom used to always cook in clay pots back in the states and this store has a wide selection. So next time you want to make spaghetti by hand and need supplies this is the place to come.
