Formerly Shanghai City, it’s now Rich Hill — still a Chinese take away though and not a bad one at that.
A bright yellow sign illuminates an otherwise low-​key residential area, the interior still pretty much as small and uneventful as previous though without the small map of China and that plump, golden, waving cat which adorns many a Chinese restaurant wall.
The most important part of this update, however, is the reason an extra star has been added — it’s better than before!
The menu isn’t any more extensive but it is more imaginative and includes a Thai twist on a number of dishes. It isn’t just the menu that’s better though, the final aim of the menu — the food — has considerably improved.
The only negative of all this is that the prices have gone up slightly, but really, what’s a few quid when you’re tucking in to a fine Chinese take away.
