I had a gift certificate to go here, which is probably the only reason I would end up at this location specifically. But for the price, I think this place is actually pretty great. No their food is not 5* and neither is there service and ambiance, but you’re not paying for that. Their prices very accurately reflect the quality of their food. It’s just middle of the road all around. If a tourist is looking for a quick pretty good meal, I’d actually recommend this place. But as a Londoner who loves foody food, it’s just not quite for me!

I find that this restaurant is average. The server we had was rude and not polite. He said we couldn’t drink alcohol without having a main course. Moreover the premise is dirty and we found a piece of hair in our pizza. The positive point, is that the service is really fast.

I’m giving an extra star here for serving food until 11:30pm because that’s later than anything else in the area(which is ridiculous, past 11 McDonald’s is basically the only alternative). Prezzo is just a totally average Italian chain, and it’s fine for what it is. People who are familiar with it probably wouldn’t go for any reason other than convenience, but sometimes that’s important. They are open late, prices are okay, there are a lot of them, nobody hates Italian, and it’s definitely serviceable quality. The staff at this particular one were also pretty good.

No consistency amongst the Prezzo’s! Stay away from the Northumberland location. The Mayfair, New Oxford and Glasshouse locations are FANTASTIC but this one completely missed the boat. I ordered takeaway and it was overcooked and under-seasoned. They also didn’t have utensils so I had to ask for utensils from the Pret A Manger across the road. I probably would have had a better dinner at Pret!

The food was really good! I had chicken and asparagus risotto and my wife had lobster and crab ravioli. Both dishes were quite excellent. Had the service been as good as the food, I think I’d give 5 stars. Our server disappeared for long portions of the evening, and we ended up waiting several times throughout the meal for water, dessert menu, etc. So make sure and have plenty of time. But the food is still worth it.

I met 6 colleagues here for lunch. It was a regular lunch place for them, and almost all ordered spaghetti carbonara. I was trying to avoid pasta to make up for how much I’d been indulging on my trip and went for a grilled seafood and vegetable skewer. For other complaints I see on Unilocal about this place — I found it to be reasonably price, with fast, friendly staff(2 colleagues had to get back to work fairly quickly and they went out of their way to accomodate), and good food. The«regulars» native crowd enjoyed their pastas — and my skewer which came mounted on a pole above potatoes and a great dipping sauce attracted food envy from the others. For taste alone, it deserved the envy. I also saw many folks working their ways through thin-crust, pizza oven cooked pizzas for themselves that looked like they could feed four(and they say we Americans serve too large of portions :-)) Bottom Line: Good service. Good fresh-tasting food with lots of options at reasonable prices for London. I’d go back for an eat-out casual lunch with colleagues or to take a break from touristing in the Trafalagar Square area.

This is a good choice if you’re looking for Italian food in the Trafalgar square area. We were a little nervous to try it because it was the only place near our hotel that didn’t have a wait, but we are glad we did. The pizzas were delicious and the prices were reasonable considering the portion size/quality. Our waitress was in training but she did a great job.

Sehr laute Atmosphäre. Freundlicher Service aber sehr langsam! Essen war praktisch kalt da es zu lange steht bevor es serviert wird. Risotto war zu hart, Pasta war ok, aber nicht super. Würde nicht mehr gehen.

Terrible. A tourist trap that I fell for. We both had pasta and both were beyond underwhelming. I had ravioli, which was very hard and lacking in flavor. My husband had the spaghetti with king prawns — which turned out to be baby shrimp that I’d be embarrassed to serve to my own guests at home. Again, flavorless. Wait staff is also very slow and not very cordial. Prezzo’s are everywhere in the touristy locations — makes me think it’s a gimmic!

It’s clean, brightly lit place to eat pizza and pasta. The food is okay, but the food took a long time to be served or it could be that we were very hungry. I would compare this to a classier version of the Olive Garden here in the US. I was fed but did this place leave an impression in my book, no not really.

Nothing was very good. My son got the small pastas, 2 choices, and didn’t like either. My daughter ordered another pasta which also went unfinished. The pizza my wife and I split was fine. Helpings were small and a bit pricey, but then this is London.

The carbonara is good, and everything else is reasonably priced, or what you’d expect for an Italian restaurant. If you’re staying at the Club Quarters Trafalgar Square it’s a good place to eat, right across the street.

This location is conveniently located right near Trafalgar Square. The menu is extensive, and I must confess I had quite the difficult time deciding what to order, because it all sounded so good! I eventually chose to go with a classic combo(smaller portions of 2 of the classic pastas: the Fucilli Alla Rusticana and the Fucilli Gorgonzola). The Fucilli Alla Rusticana was superb! The Fucilli Gorgonzola was just okay. I topped my meal off with the lemon torte, and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted! It was smooth in texture, rich in taste, yet light and refreshing at the same time. The sweet and tangy lemon flavor was perfectly combined with a delicious biscuit crust and fresh raspberry drizzle and garnish. Other members of our party were equally as satisfied with their desserts, which included a to-die-for strawberry cheesecake which actually gave my lemon torte a run for its money. It was so good that we visited Prezzo for dessert 2 nights in a row – although we began with dinner the second night, because apparently they frown upon guests coming in just for dessert, as our server had to get manager approval the first night to serve us just sweet plates and coffee when we arrived after 10pm. It’s a good thing we weren’t looking for a nightcap, as they weren’t willing to serve us any alcohol unless we ordered dinner. I thought the whole thing was strange, but perhaps it’s a bit more common – what do I know… I’m just a silly American. I should mention the manager(who took over as our server both nights) was very short with us – I can’t say it’s just a British thing either, because we have experienced a wealth of friendliness from other locals. It just made us feel like we were more of a burden than welcomed paying customers. Aside from that, our experiences were more than satisfying. The entrees were hot and out in a flash. Their hot chocolate and lattes were delish, and the perfect way to get rid of the English chill. All in all, I would return to Prezzo again, and with a large number of locations scattered across the UK, if I ever cross the pond again, I’m sure to find my way to one.

Just a few minutes away from Embankment and really good if you have a hankering for a good pizza. The V.I.Pizza is a good idea if you are sharing it with someone else. It is a basic pizza but on a flat bread. The salads here are amazing. We also ordered goat cheese for starters and that really stole the show to be honest. The dessert selection is quite limited and the tiramisu was not the best i’ve ever had. And considering it is about 5 quid, it was quite a disappointment. The prices are are average for a special meal out. The pastas and pizzas are about 7 quid minimum.

We wandered in to this Prezzo location after having walked by several times and seeing other outlets around the city. We just wanted a decent quick meal near the hotel. We were greeted and shown to a table right away. However after about 10 – 12 minutes we still had not received an acknowledgement from a server. Not even eye contact! It was unreal — the restaurant was over half full and there were plenty of servers on buzzing around but not one even approached our table. After close to 14 minutes we got up and walked out. As we went out the door, one of the employees said«Thank you!». Inept and unacceptable which was too bad because we were here on a long stay and would have been happy to have a restaurant close to the hotel that was decent!

I’m not a huge fan of eating at chains, but it was getting late and we were in the mood for pizza and this Prezzo was in our faces, so we entered. Food was good, nothing special, but nothing nasty. Service and management were very friendly and it’s a nice, warm atmosphere. We used Vouchercloud to get one of our mains for £1 to make it a bit of a bargain, too! –Garlic bread with cheese & sausage — pretty much a mini-pizza and tasty –Lobster & crab ravioli — Nice n seafoody. Saffron sauce is good. –Meat/Vegetarian pizza — Like that you can do the combo. The pepperoni was nice.

The hubby and I shared an excellent meal at Prezzo. We walked by the place during the day as it was directly across from our hotel, and we decided to give it a shot for dinner. The décor is very pretty. I especially loved the rock wall to one side of the restaurant, and the red wall at the back with the cool glass art. There is plenty of seating and the whole place is very open. Service was also great. We had a couple different waitresses during our visit and both were friendly and helpful. We shared a bottle of pinot grigio and started with the garlic bread with cheese. Both were tasty, especially the pinot grigio. The girls at the table next to us were each working on giant, great looking pizzas… so after seeing and smelling those we had to order a pizza. We shared the Tre Gusti — pepperoni sausage, seasoned chicken, pancetta bacon, fresh rosemary, mozzarella, and tomato. It was perfect. Baked in a giant pizza oven on view to the restaurant, the crust was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle. There was a generous helping of cheese on top and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the chicken on there. The hint of rosemary added a nice punch to each bite. Delish! The entire pie was the size of a regular pizza pan, and we enjoyed all that goodness for only 9.25. As much as we enjoyed the pizza and wine, the most memorable part of the meal came for dessert. On our waitress’s recommendation we shared the Honeycomb Smash Cheesecake — blended and topped with crunchy honeycomb pieces coated in chocolate. It was unbelievable! The cheesecake itself was super creamy and had bits of honeycomb and toffee mixed throughout. The chocolate drizzled on top and all around the plate took it that extra mile. I would almost fly back to London just for a piece of that cheesecake. Definitely give Prezzo a try if you’re in the area, and don’t you dare leave without trying the Honeycomb Cheesecake!

Eh. That my opinion of Prezzos everywhere. Eh. The food is… good? Yeah, it’s pretty good Pizza Express level stuff. Pizza and pasta and the like. Service was fast to take my order, but took a pretty long time to actually serve it up. The wine list was pretty good, as was the selection of Italian beers, and everything was very affordable. It was all still pretty… eh though. What puts it up from three to four stars is it’s positioning. Between Trafaglar Square and the river, there is literally NOWHERE to sit down and eat. That little piece of luck alone sets this Prezzo above others of the same name because, if you’ve just crossed the river, or you’re wanting to eat before a trip to some of the Embankment-bordering theaters, it’s literally the only choice you have. And for that, it’s perfectly acceptable. A good, if unexceptional meal, that takes a lot longer than it should, but costs less than it might elsewhere. Just don’t go out of your way to get here though.

Oooooh, it was so close to being 5 stars! Slow service. I’ll just put that out there at the beginning. That’s where they lost that elusive 5th star. Everything else was great. I was quite surprised at how nice Prezzo was, considering I’d never been before and knew only that it was an Italian chain. I had prepared myself for a Pizza Express type of place. We had a ‘buy one get one’ voucher between five of us, and all scoffed our delicious mains. I had the Arrosto salad(chicken added, no extra cost!) which was pretty damn good, and quite large. Everyone else loved their massive pizzas or calzones. A glass of house red washed everything down. And we were convinced to stay for dessert, where the others at my table sampled the two types of cheesecake on offer(I sadly just looked on adoringly at the treats). Give Prezzo a chance!
