Des «Pret», il y en a littéralement à tous les coins de rue à Londres. C’est standardisé donc, et pourtant je donne une bonne note parce que… c’est bon, tout simplement. Le discours du «manger-​sain-​pas-​comme-​dans-​les-​autres-​fast-​food» répété ad nauseam partout dans les restos de la chaîné semble aller au-​delà de la simple déclaration d’intention marketing, car ma salade au chèvre était vraiment bien, fraîche, avec une sauce excellente, et la salade de mangues aux citrons, miam, le côté naturellement trop sucré de la mangue contrebalancé par l’acidité du jus de citron, parfait.
En plus, malgré le fait que je suis arrivé juste à l’heure de la fermeture, le personnel a été sympa et m’a laissé tout le temps de manger sur place. Localisation idéale pour les résidents de St George Wharf qui n’ont qu’à descendre de leur immeuble s’ils ont la flemme de se faire à manger.

Kind of have a soft spot for this brnach of Pret A Manger because I used to live in Vauxhall and the girl who served me last night was really friendly. I had the mushroom soup (lovely, and went down so easy) and a vanilla probiotic yoghurt (sweet and tasty) and a Love Bar… coz they are so so so tasty. Thumbs up!

I’m just generally a fan of Pret.
As someone who has worked in the service industry for quite a few years of my life, what I’ve experienced was managers giving orders and stand back and watch. Pret impresses me because I always see managers at a register or sweeping/​mopping, or just generally cleaning up instead of delegating the task.
I started going to Pret because I was told they have the best croissants, and yes, they do, and I go back for the croissants, but also for their team work.
This Pret was no different. Clean, friendly staff, great service.

Had a great paper-​cupfull of porridge at Pret, just south of the Vauxhall Bridge. You can get it with honey or blueberries… I went with the honey and didn’t regret it. My wife enjoyed her tomato and mozzarella croissant for breakfast – sounds strange, but it worked!
It’s a nice clean place with a variety of seating. We were at a bar at the window and watched London go by. A great way to start off a chilly winter day.
