Pop Soda is a London based wholesale clothing company inspired by the international alternative scene
They first formed in 2004 with the brand ‘Hell Bunny’ designed to fill a gap in the market for edgy alternative streetwear. Hell Bunny (which just so happens to be my favorite) is now well known for it’s cute retro prints and Lolita inspired shapes, which has made the brand one of the largest and most popular around.
Shortly after the big success of Hell Bunny, the Mercy brand was created which catered for darker, gothic and bondage inspired styles. Followed by the more recent Spin Doctor brand which was created in 2010.
Which brings me on to this store. This is the only one in the whole of the UK but isn’t exactly the sort you can go in to browse in the traditional sense you would somewhere like New Look or Topshop. They deal in wholesale but this store has been known to let you buy one or two pieces of clothing and for a very reasonable price.
There are many stores around London that stock their items but being London they go for insanely high prices considering what they pay for them. I have seen a few of the gorgeous Hell Bunny dresses priced up at £150 when you can so easily pick them up online (on websites such as ViperLondon, Sohos, even Amazon and Ebay) for as little as £20 but most of them average around £40. Still better than the rip off prices of London, that’s for sure.
One downside to this being a UK based company is that they are so damn hard to find now that I have moved Stateside (California). However, with that being said they are looking at expanding and moving across the pond. Yay!

Pop Soda sells punk clothes wholesale. When I passed this place I was immediately attracted to the chequered black and white trousers on display in the storefront window. When I tried to venture in and saw that I had to press a buzzer to enter I was confused. Apparently this shop sells clothes directly to retailers (they mainly carry apparel created by the label Hell Bunny, but they have other stuff too), but if you ask nicely they will sell individual pieces to you. They deliver, so if you run a goth/​punk-​esque clothing store and you need some stock you may find this company to be a good potential business partner. The chequered trousers cost £20 individually, but if you buy in bulk you will definitely get the lot at an incredibly cheaper rate per item.
