Stumble into this restaurant due to close proximity from hotel and it does have good pasta and pizza. Not so on appetizer. But will come back for more! Absolute DELICIOUS.

This is quite a cozy Italian restaurant that has a lovely ambience. Most importantly, the dishes are quite full with flavour, mouthwatering, and fresh. Give it a go, and you’ll enjoy XD

Great Location was STARVING after an afternoon of activities and stumbled upon this wee restaurant. They do a £5 lunch special Mon-Fri 12pm to 4pm — I just made it in time! The Grape and Vanilla cooler was refreshing and not too sugary and made of REAL grapes… something a bit different. And their lunch special — tomato penne pasta with a side of caesary salad was tasty. The Pasta could’ve had more parmesan, but that’s just me. I would go back there again, but there are so many places to try! Not bad! The rest of their menu was pretty reasonable. Service was quick and efficient and the restaurant is comfy and nice to chill out in. They didn’t «hurry» me too which was nice.

Here’s a bit of irony for you: On our 19 day trip through Europe, which included Italy, this is where we had the best pizza. Embarrassing, yes I know, but it’s true. Good for Ponti’s and bad for me. Where should I start? Service — very good, very home-y feeling, kinda brash, fun. Ambiance — chill, actually. It’s just off a side street near all the shopping and a short 5 minute walk from the Disney Store, Selfridges and the Marble Arch station. It’s pretty kid friendly, so take a break here with your kiddies =) Food — we were very surprised. On my last trip to London, I — Ate –Nothing. Well, not really, but the food was so bad I wanted to eat nothing. Ponti’s was a nice surprise. We ordered: 1. Pizza w/proscuitto— super fresh dough, fire oven baked almost perfect(not quite there, just needed a bit more char), yummy sauce and great cheese 2. Seafood stew– not fishy or anything! Very good tomato-based seafood stew. 3. Penne Margherita — my little allergy girl eats plain food. This was so tasty that I stole her leftovers. Must be the herbs or something ;) 4. Pizza Margherita — good, but the prosciutto on the other pizza was so yummy that I stole it. Just order the one with prosciutto instead. The pricing was decent. We came on a weekend so the lunch specials weren’t available. Total was about 10 quid per person. The lunch specials seem a better deal, but we thought the pricing was fine for the location. Yummy yummy!

It’s nothing extraordinary, but the service was good, and the breakfast was pretty good. I stumbled into here when wandering desperately looking for breakfast at 9am on a Sunday, and refusing to enter the scores of Starbucks that dotted my path. I felt compelled to review since I think it’s clear that the restaurant has turned around since 2009. Can’t speak to the italian food or coffee, but the english breakfast and tea were just what I wanted.

I really enjoyed the food and service. We order a variety of dishes and all tasted great. The garlic bread is the bomb, and the service was exceptional. We actually went there twice during our trip to London. Another group that went to London with us also raved about the restaurant. The restaurant was under new management.

This place will forever be in my memories as having the worst espresso I’ve ever had on the planet. Looking around it appeared that the service sucked, so after picking up on that bit I knew I would have to keep reminding the waiters about my order. When the cheese cake finally came around, it was actually pretty damn good, but still didn’t make up for the espresso.

This is a bit of a diner style Italian — pizzas, pastas and some traditional main courses for pretty moderate prices, my Bolognese for example came in at about £7 which while not caf pricing is ok in this part of town. Having said that it’s difficult to find anything really note worthy about this establishment. Ah, smokers: they do have a few tables outside and especially during the summer it is just off Oxford Street enough for you not to be burning holes in passing shoppers. Result.
