I just moved to a new neighbourhood and I am very excited to have found a good Thai place, which is really essential for a happy life. This restaurant is by no means a beautiful setting; its kind of a dive but the primary thing is the food and they do a nice job. I have only gone once so far but the pad prikh and red curry were both very good, and the prices were very low as well. It’s even byob, which makes it even easier on the wallet. I look forward to getting take out here a good 40 – 100 times.

My other half(vegetarian) and I(forced to be vegetarian) just moved to Willesden Green. We’ve walked past Pomegranate a few times but first impressions were that it’s kind of small and no menu on the door normally equals to bad overpriced food. But on discovering most meat dishes could be substituted with tofu/vegetables and the price range was reasonably we gave it a shot. For starters we shared the mushroom Tom Kha soup — petite portion yet big on taste. For mains we got the pomegranate fried rice and panang tofu curry — good portions, even better taste combined. Seriously, it was like having a mouthgasm(sorry lol) My only cons are slightly cramped between tables and the smell of oil wafting from the kitchen making us reek of oil afterwards — maybe invest in more powerful extractor fans? Food arrived relatively quick. Staff were attentive and friendly. Happily paid £22.50 for one of the most authentic Thai dinners we’ve had in a long time! Overall, well recommended if you’re in the area and hankering for delicious Thai food!

The pomegranate is just a few hundred meters from our home. Tried it for the first time today. It is a small place with an open kitchen, you can watch while your food is prepared. We had the green and the red curry. It was very delicious, the green curry is a bit more spicy but not to spicy. The vegetables are very good and really taste like vegetables, not that normal cooked stuff which tastes like a bit of gum. The food kind of blew our mind and we’ll go there more often from now on.

Came here once about a year ago with mixed reviews on the portions v. prices. But gave it a chance again and it wasn’t bad. Pros: *open late, think we rolled in at around 10 *It’s BYOB but there’s a sainsburys local just across the street *The food is tasty, we had the green curry with sticky rice and it was tasty and just the right amount of heat to not kill the flavor or my tongue Cons: *kitchen visible from dining area. More importantly the microwave is audible from the dining area… I dont know how much they use it but I was hearing the ding ding of crap cooking technique while we, the only ones in there, were waiting for our food. *This is fresh, veggie heavy, sweet and salty and spicy food yes… but it’s basic ingredients that I think are overpriced for what it is. oh well. It’s the only thai within walking distance. I will come back if Im too lazy to cook vegetables in spicy peanut sauce myself.

A very small restaurant that also does take-away, conveniently located by the tube station so you can get your fix on the way home. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent, although the food is a little disappointing I’ve certainly had better, although by no means is it the worst. If you’re in the area, you won’t find another Thai restaurant with the same charm.

A friend and I have been to Thailand on a number of occasions and we consider this the closest to authentic Thai cooking. Almost like home cooking. If that isn’t enough recommendation, another friend is a Thai expert cook and he popped up to London one weekend. We got a takeaway from here and he said it was one of the best he’d had in the UK! Fabulous food. In fact I’m just about to order my favourite dish: Pad Phrik with king prawn. Yum.

If Unilocal had 6 stars, I’d give them the 6th star too. We used to live in Willesden Green till a few months ago and ate here at least once a week. Pomegranate is not just a café, the owners also serve Thai food and some of the freshest Thai. You can sit outdoors, carry your own alcohol and enjoy fresh, delicious and very well-priced meal. Typically, we’d leave with £12 per head which included a starter, a curry and rice. Our favorite starter, their corn cakes with sweet chili sauce, to be followed up with a chicken/beef phad krapow and rice. I have tried a few Thai restaurants since and I still can’t find one that comes close.

Its just up the road from where i live in Willesden Green and i cant believe i only just discovered this little gem! It is very small inside but thats what i like about it, cosy and understated. I ordered a Thai green curry and it was the best i’v ever had. Beautiful flavours, portion size not too big and not too small, absolutely delicious! Even the prawn crackers are alot better than your average. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. You can bring your own wine as well which of course cuts down on price and also gives the restaurant quite a novelty feel. Just pop round the corner to local Sainsburys and pick up a £4 bottle! Overall i think this is a fantastic little find and i highly recommend it.

I moved out of Willesden about 8 years ago but always head back here for supper when I come back to London as there were always good restaurants there — I was disappointed to find that my 3 fave restaurants, Sabras, Shish & the Japanese on Warm Lane appeared to have closed down — but wandered along from the station to see what else was about — we found Pomegranate &WOW what a find — stunning food, wonderful service, great prices — brilliant! I can’t rate this highly enough… This is definately worth a visit — it’s small but definately perfectly formed — try it!

This is a cosy little Thai restaurant conveniently located just outside Willesden Green tube station. There is a very limited amount of good eating options in the area so its good to know about this place. The waiters were very friendly, attentive and helpful, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed and the prices are very reasonable. The food however is just average, if you like your Thai food fancy and perfect then this isn’t the place for you, its more in line with fast-food quality. They don’t have a liquor licence but they are happy for you to bring your own.

Turn right out of Willesden Green tube and take the first right as this gem is not directly on Walm Lane and it would be a shame to miss it. At most this Thai restaurant seats 20 people, but of course that means great service, and take away /delivery is an option so you need never miss out. During the day they have also added English breakfasts and other less exciting stuff, which I am sure is much appreciated on a weekend morning, but is lost on me when there is plump juicy tofu ready and waiting to be put in a delicious and freshly made green curry — the kitchen and all its action is visible from the restaurant. The staff don’t have great English but they are so friendly and full of smiles. And if you catch them eating their staff food early in the evening you will also find they have a surprising taste in quality pirate drum and bass radio stations. A little hard to digest to, but a surpassing that lift music they play in so many east Asian restaurants!
