Awesome for wine tasting, small groups. Host Matt is super eager, super cool and presents the wines very well. Good atmosphere and ambience in basement. Feels like you in a basement in a villa in the south of France.

Everyone in London should have one or two trusted places where they can go to get wine and the brilliantly named Planet of the Grapes is one of mine. It’s central location means that it’s perfect for swinging by on lunch break or after work for anyone in the Holborn area and the staff really know their stuff so will be able to recommend the perfect wine for any occasion. Of course, the more you come the more they know you so i’m now able to try things they recommend knowing that it’ll almost 100% be to my taste. Wines range from well-​priced and rise depending on how flush you are. Oh and for those that wish to try before you buy head to their new bar, something I’ve yet to do myself but may venture there soon.
