Just unbelievably awful as if the staff had watched the Computer Says No sketch from Little Britain and were re-enacting it for a laugh. I’ve lived close by for 7 years but never been, usually opting for Il Bacio down the road. But we had friends staying and decided to try it. The place wasn’t busy, maybe 2 other tables. There was 1 waitress and 2 people in the kitchen. The first clue that things were going to go horribly wrong was the non-greeting from the waitress who was clearly having a very bad day. She took ages to take our order which wasn’t so much of a problem as I was catching up with my friends at the table. When the food eventually came(again, slow, considering there were only 2 other tables occupied) they had forgotten my friend’s pizza. No apology whatsoever I wasn’t looking for grovelling but an acknowledgement that there’s been a mistake would have been appreciated. It arrived 15 minutes later when the rest of us were well into our meals. To be fair, the food, while not gourmet by any standards wasn’t bad. The waitress disappeared completely at this stage for ages so we couldn’t ask about dessert and by the time she had re-appeared we just wanted the bill which took 20 minutes to pay due to problems with her hand-held terminal and her disappearing and reappearing to try different units with increasingly loud sighs. Again, no hint of an apology while we eventually cobbled together cash. Hugely disappointed. A local that could be a winner that let us down at every stage. There’s clearly a reason we didn’t have trouble getting a table I imagine it’s a place everyone round here has been to once and wouldn’t return. Definitely won’t be back, definitely wouldn’t recommend. One star out of 5 for the decent pizzas, but no more than that for the service which was like a café in Moscow in 1975. I can’t believe it’s the same place as the other 2 reviews on here. Wish we’d gone the day they did.

I never been disapointed with the food or service in this famliy run place. Nice surroundings, sensiby priced food, which I have to add, is rather tastey. They have a great menu, which also include Mexican food, Fish and Steaks, with a respectable bar too.(House red is fantastic) Put it this way. I live in Golders Green, but when I fancy a pizza, even as a take away, I make the pligrim by car, as its worth the journey. Summer time is nice, as you can sit outside and take in the nomadic atmosphere of the Finsbury park community. Once you’ve stuffed yourself on food, you can head towards Finsbury park for a strole to burn of the excess weight. For around £30.00 you get a lovely meal for two, now you can’t say fairer than that. And lets face it, even Nigella couldn’t knock up a treat for that price! (and if you fancy a more Mexican flavor, you can pop across to Blackstock rd, to their other eatery — What more can one say)

Superb pizza in rustic surrounds. One of those ‘almost horizontal’ places with great friendly family staff. The food comes really quickly, but there are still(inexplicably) tortilla chips and houmous to snack on while you wait. People come here just to chill out too — bring a chess set and sit on one of the benches out front, linger over a bottle of wine, lovely. Cheap cheap and free delivery too. They also own exquisite — the Mexican place on Blackstock Road.
