Enjoyable meal, but a little pricey for a chain. We had some Tesco clubcard vouchers to use and opted to triple our points by claiming the money off at Pizza Express. We came on a Friday evening and it wasn’t too busy. I enjoyed a glass of red wine and my husband had a bottle of large peroni. For food, I enjoyed the romana padana whilst my husband opted for the pollo ad astra. Both were yummy with a good topping to base ratio! For dessert I was very jealous of my husbands Leggera Tartufo Limoncello. so delicious and highly recommended! I had the mini salted caramel profiteroles which were good and enjoyed it paired with a cappuccino. Overall we had a nice experience at this pizza express. The service was good, but the restaurant does lack any kind of ambience. The drinks in particular are on the expensive side too– it was £8.50 for my large glass of wine. In total our meal for 2 people(without clubcard vouchers) was around £58. In my opinion this a bit too pricey for a chain restaurant.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced here. Waiter refused to serve me despite catching his eye three times and saying ‘can I order?’ After the third time he went over to the next table slowly and started taking the drinks. It felt like something personal. Surreal service is an understatement. Manager was somewhat sympathetic but doesn’t negate that they are employing possibly the rudest man in London.

Food was pretty good. Prices were too high. However, the real reason for the low rating is the service. Of all the restaurants we visited during our visit to the UK, this was the low point in regard to service. Try to avoid this place.

Dropped in for lunch. As an American, I found their pizza menu to be different from standard USA fare. Was advised that I could ordered any pizza with a thin crust. Chose the waitress’ favorite with a thin crust. Came to the table within minutes and was quite tasty. Very decent place on Battersea Bridge Road. I would definitely eat there again.

Well… I’ve been in a better italian restaurants in general but I haven’t found place where they do hot beef pizza better. This one is the reason I go to Pizza Express. I like spicy food and this pizza is made just for me. There are friend’s who say it’s not for them but everyone has different taste so if you like Mexican cuisine you’ll probably like this pizza as well. My next favourite is american hot but it’s less hot.

In general, I’m a big Pizza Express fan. But the Battersea branch is just crap. The food is fine and obviously the pricing is the same as other locations, but the service is horrendous. After 2 occasions with the same members of the waitstaff completely ignoring us and bringing food late, etc. I’ve taken to going to the Wandsworth Town location even though it’s a bit further away. On last visit, the waitress *literally* threw our bill at us. She approached the table, began to do an about-face turn and chucked the little plate + bill in our general direction. Never have had such awful service. I might try it again, but as there are other more friendly locations nearby, I’ll probably stick to those.

Pizza express… We all know what they do, it says so on the tin literally, and you can’t fail to be near to at least one of them in London. So the Battersea of this chain, delivers exactly what it promises. The restaurant itself is bright and airy which is a refreshing change, the staff are friendly and there take away service is excellent. If you live near by then this is a must every once and a while. It drops a star for being in a chain gang, and whilst it’s nice you can get exactly the same menu in 100 other places across london, and well, the country.
