This is a less frequented outlet of the chain, meaning they are less volume-driven and more focused on quality. Good things: moderate prices,(small) terrace, open every day(and evening). This is ideal if you don’t want to cook/stay at home e.g. on a Sunday night: go out, get a fair deal and a rather nice moment there — the food really is quite decent. NB: the manager has changed recently and the service is somewhat slower and a tad less friendly — let’s see if he can manage a recovery or if there’s really an issue.

Pizza Express’s are everywhere these days, and due to the tough times of the credit crunch, i decided to utilise their buy one get one free offer on main courses(and they take off the most expensive)! Anyway, this restaurant is based over 2 floors, the top floor never seems to be open when i visit in the week, i think it is used for functions and probably at the weekends. The staff were friendly enough here, although we ordered dough balls to start with they weren’t delivered, when our mains came we had to remind the waiter, who then promptly brought them over. I ordered the chicken ceasar salad. The dressing was served on the side, and in my opinion there was not really enough of it to cover the whole salad. This place seems to get busy very quickly and everyone seemed to arrive at once, which meant service was a little slow. As we had the offer voucher the price was nice and reasonable!

Visited on 20.12.08 for lunch with partner and 3 lively children. Busy. When asked waiter brought crayons and games book for children. Food usual high standard, and came quickly. Good choice of food for adults and children. Value for money. Only criticism would be that tables rather close to maximise covers

Pizza Express, largely unchanged(except the prices) since the sixties is an excellent restaurant to go for a casual date. This one near Marylebone High Street is especially good. The service is very efficient and friendly. The pizzas compare well to Zizzis, Strada and some of the other chains and represent reasonable value(for London’s extortionate prices). It is a chain that is doing really well for itself-it must be because they are continuously expanding. I also go to the one in Olympia exhibition Centre at the weekends.
