Wow– so delicious. Just writing this review is making me want to fly back to London for another meal at Piebury Corner. The menu has a good variety of pies and sides, but it isn’t overwhelming. All of the pies are displayed in a heated case at the register. Once you choose the type of pie you’d like, they heat it up for you in the oven. The restaurant also has a small selection of beer. I went with a group of six for lunch and a beer before the Arsenal match. We couldn’t leave London without trying their famous meat pies! I decided to order a side of mashed potatoes with gravy and the Tony Adams– Steak & Ale pie. I finished my whole plate in record time. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is kind of small and can get crowded. You order at the register. The line was a bit long, but it moved very quickly and was definitely worth the wait. There is minimal seating inside and a few tables outside. We decided to sit at the tall tables outdoors and watch the streets of London. It was an amazing experience! Definitely a must-visit in London!

I thought this was going to be a «proper» pie n mash shop but it’s all north London. Red wine gravy ffs?! Having said that, the pies are pretty good, just a shame about the lack of liquor.

As an Aussie, I might as well be the biggest meat pie critic! I’ve tried a range of pies from Piebury and they never disappoint. The goat cheese and sweet potato pie is incredible. You can’t go wrong with the steak pies. The pastry, filling, sauces = ace. The shopkeepers are top notch in service. Only one point of critical feedback: I wish they were open all week!

Amazing post match pies after the soccer. Beer is served. Staff friendly. Not too crowded. 10 pounds for pie potatoes and beer

I read good reviews but this exceeded expectations! The red wine and venison pie was just delightful and with some peas and mash… how could you go wrong!

Being an Arsenal fan I pass this place quite a lot. On matchdays it’s heaving with a great atmosphere as people eat and drink outside. The owner even plays some cool old skool tunes on his mini vinyl for everyone to enjoy. Love the Theo Walcott, Lee Dixon, Dennis Bergkamp in particular!

I am in love with this place and so upset its not in Dublin! A pie is just what you need before you head up to the Emirates Stadium for an Arsenal match… and Piebury Corner doesn’t disappoint! Crumbly, sweet pastry, a wide range of fillings(check out my photo of their ‘Legends’ menu), and plenty of roasties/mash and gravy to give you that warm, fuzzy feeling inside. I had the ‘Tony Adams’ which was beautifully cooked steak and ale. I’ve had plenty of pies in my time but this was up there with the best of them! And with a pie with mash/roasties and gravy for under a tenner, you would be tempted to get one on the way home too!

Fantastic Pies hard to pick my favourite there all great and the Scotcheggs too. They have a good choice of beers, ales and ciders. And on a match day there is a brilliant atmosphere outside.

Piebury Corner started life as a roadside stall on Arsenal match days and has carried that heritage through to the deli by naming the pies after Arsenal legends such as Ian Wright and Tony Adams. With a large range of award winning pies starting from £3.50 if you buy them from the chilled counter to cook at home(add £1 if you want them warmed up in the deli and £2 if you want mash /roast potatoes and gravy), this is a reliable and very good quality way to have a cheap meal. As well as a range of beers, chutneys, cheeses and pickles Piebury Corner recently started offering a range of proper scotch eggs, which are also fantastic. Chorizo, black pudding, haggis or all day breakfast.

The best pie shop in the universe. Lovely staff, great tunes and indescribably magnificent pies. Quickly became my pre-Arsenal match ritual upon opening and I visit every opportunity I get.

I tried my first meat pie at Piebury Corner, and they definitely did not disappoint. The steak and ale pie was delicious and savory, without being too salty. Who doesn’t love the pure beefy-ness of a steak and ale pie? Didn’t get the mash, but the gravy was a nice addition. They even have take-away containers for the pies and gravy, as well as instructions on how to properly heat-up your pie. Friendly shop with good prices.

Went here before Arsenal vs Everton and it was the perfect pre-game vibe. Ate outside in front while somebody spun 45s the whole time. The owner came out and introduced himself to everyone also. Really made you feel welcome and at home. Meat Pies were awesome and the mash and gravy are top notch.

As an Arsenal supporter, having fantastic pies located right next to Emirates Stadium is just too good. It’s just a shame I don’t live in London. There pies are so freaking good! I first experienced their excellent pies before the Dortmund home match a few months ago. I got the: Ox Cheek & Venison — The«Ox»(excellent, you could really taste the gamey venison) Steak & Ale — The«Tony Adams»(lots of great steak in ale gravy) The pies are delicious but they’re not that big. So get two or three. Which is not a problem at all. Enjoy!

I don’t have much of a frame of reference because I’ve never had a real meat pie. I had a couple of those frozen Stouffer’s jobs growing up, but nothing I would call authentic. But what Piebury Corner served up was fantastic. Piping hot and served with a generous portion of mashed potatoes, really hit the spot. Located near Arsenal’s home and as noted in a couple of the pics, the pies are named after Arsenal icons. Not shown is what I ordered, the Arsene Wenger — chicken and broccoli. Was delicious. If you’re in the area, give it a try.

Who ate all the pies? THISGIRL! Yes, my favourite part of this place is the pun-errific name. Piebury Corner, Highbury Corner, get it? HIGHlarious. Anyway. Larissa has commented here that nothing beats a cheap, good quality pie, well she should go across the street to Greggs for that because Piebury is not cheap. Sure, maybe it’s because I’m used to Scottish pies but 4.50 for a single pie is kinda pricey. They are delicious though. Temptingly delicious. I inhaled my chicken and leek in about 4 seconds and wanted another. I’m a fat kid in a pie shop. I haven’t tried the Scotch pie, but I’ve plans to go back for another. The staff here are lovely too and were super friendly when I went in.

It’s like Pieminister, but independent, far tastier and with some pretty cute décor. I like this place. I like it a lot. I’ve purchased their carb-loaded goods on more than one chilly winter night. …I mean who doesn’t love pie, fancy British ale and some delicious mash?! I only wish this place wasn’t so dangerously close to my apartment.

All football fans have a pre match ritual, and included in mine is a visit to Piebury Corner. I won’t bore you with stats to prove that eating here before the game increases the chance of an Arsenal win, but it certainly reduces the chances of you getting a half time tummy rumble. £4.50 gets you an Arsenal legend themed pie, £6.50 if you want mash or roast potatoes with it. Food is consistently good and the guy who sits outside on match days playing an eclectic mix of 70s ska vinyls on his little turntable just adds to the atmosphere. COYG!

Essentially a pie and mash shop with a lot more choice and a lot higher quality. There are a good selection of different pies then choose if you want it with mash or roast potato bits. The pies have interesting names I’m assuming they’re something to do with arsenal players or something?! Don’t really like football. I had the steak and ale with mash. Portions are not massive but big enough to leave you comfortably full. The pie was lovely and the gravy great to. I had a black pudding scotch egg on the side which was absolutely delicious warm with a gooey yolk. Lovely lunch under a tenner :-)

Exceptional warming pies and creamy filling mash served by friendly staff a mere pie’s throw from Holloway Road tube station. On our visit we also sampled the scotch eggs, which were almost perfect(my only criticism being that the chorizo one needed to be a bit more chorizo-y). I highly recommend a visit to this place. Probably best avoided on match day though.

Nothing beats a cheap, good quality pie. Add a great selection of ales and ciders and a fun but not over-the-top retro atmosphere, and you’ve made a return customer out of me. The pies aren’t oversized monstrosities. Instead, they’re completely manageable with a plate of tats or mash and some veg. All-in-all, a cracking value. The owners are also lovely, coming by to collect finished plates and glasses and to ask after your meal. There’s a plethora of jams, chutneys and other condiments for sale alongside a range of cold pies to take away and heat up in the comforts of your own home. A solid cheap-eats option in the Lower Holloway area if I’ve ever seen one. I’ll definitely be back.
