A proper no frills east end Pie & Mash shop. Menu choice is: how many pies, how many scoops of mash and gravy or liqour. If you’ve never had real pie and mash before you probably won’t know what liqour is(I didn’t before I went here). It’s a clear(ish) parsley sauce that they sometimes make with fish juices. I always go for liqour now. Don’t expect waitress service or ceremony. Go to the counter, order your food, sit at the fixed molded plastic tables and get stuck in. For dessert they do the same pies filled with apple instead of mince served swimming in custard. If you want a taste of the real east end I can recommend pie & mash!
