I hate reading bad reviews about such an awesome place. I have been here mutual olé times as it is in my monthly London routine. I have always been greeted by friendly staff with great recommendations although I usually end up getting the lasagna. So great! The inside is small, but comfortable. My wife originally found this place back in 2013 and I have been coming for the past two years. Great place, enough can not be said about it! Come see for yourself!

Second time I come here. Ok restaurant. Nice profile as they don’t do pizza, so you can get other real Italian dishes you might struggle to find in most other Italian places in London — which do nothing but mostly pizza and pasta. However, food could be better, and it is quite pricey for the quality. Carbonara, I could make the same quality in my kitchen. Good, but really not impressed and worth £12. I hear the veal is worth it, though. Tiramisu tastes like industrial crap and is £6.95 a piece… Mixed feelings overall.

The waiter was extremely rude and outright deceptive. The food(including the meat!) wasn’t fully cooked. I guess the location was convenient… that’s the only positive thing I can say. When we asked for regular water, the waiter poured expensive bottled water before we could say no. 4 pounds. He then made it sound very much like a salad was included with entrees, only for my two friends to find an additional salad charge. 7 pounds each. We were the only people in the restaurant on a week night, and when we did get our food, it was not horrible. However, the meat in my ravioli wasn’t fully cooked — my friend and I shared a panicked look when we saw the pink meat — but nobody ended up with food poisoning. Between four of us, we ordered risotto, ravioli soup, the chicken entrée and the meat ravioli, and nobody particularly liked our dishes, especially for their extreme prices. In all, with just a basic dish and no alcohol, it ended up being 80 pounds for four people. Ridiculous. Never coming back.

Such a great little Italian restaurant. We were looking for somewhere good to eat on a Sunday night in London which proved to be a trying experience. London, wtf? Anyway, we strolled into the Piccadilly Restaurant around 9:30pm; we were the only people there at the time and still received excellent service from both the host and the waiter. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and has a very cozy feel. The décor is quite interesting which framed photographs and caricatures on the walls. The menu offerings were more extensive than many places we had been to(and looked up) in London. We started off with the garlic bread — the bread itself was light and fresh but it wasn’t super garlicky(we like ours super garlicky). Additionally, it costs $ 2.95 per person to get rolls, butter, and olives for the table which we found kind of weird. Nevertheless, the main courses were delightful. I tried the Scampi Provencal which was a great little dish — I asked if I could opt for pasta rather than rice and it wasn’t a problem at all! I also tried a side of the spinach which was delicious. My other family members had the Cannelloni, Vegetarian Lasagne, and a veal dish — all of which they enjoyed greatly. We weren’t planning on getting dessert but upon seeing the dessert menu featured a «Bombed by Chocolate» dish, we couldn’t say no. We also tried the Crème Brulee which was fantastic, and I had an espresso which was incredibly rich. A great experience overall; however, its bathrooms are NOT handicapped accessible as they are located on the 3rd floor(up two flights of stairs) which is not the most fun after quite a meal.

Saturday night before a show — not busy at the right time. Service was impeccable, very attentive. Was out of the wine I ordered but the replacement was good although question it’s value. The appetizers were great — I had the calamari while the wife had bruschetta. The meals were ok — nothing special. Cordon blu was odd — a bit over cooked but still good. The«spicy spaghetti» wasn’t very«spicy». All in all if your looking for a decent joint with great customer service — this is the place

We were in Leicester Square and fancied Italian food so we kept an eye out for something small, cosy and definitely not a franchise restaurant. This place couldn’t have been more suited. There were four of us in our group and we all had different pastas. Each of us were very happy with what we were served. I had fresh asparagus with mozzarella cheese for my starter. It was so good I didn’t want it to end. One member of our group wanted pizza and just assumed(possible stereo typing) that being an Italian restaurant, pizza would be on the menu. Well it wasn’t. If you need to use the lavatory, bring you mountain climbing gear because the toilets are on the third floor. I suppose, any unwanted calories that you consume during your meal, you can burn off again on the way to the loo. I would definitely come back again and would recommend this place to friends.

Yes!!! This is exactly what I was looking for. The service is the best ever at an Italian restaurant, and the interior is cozy and you get a feel of Italy, with this old Italian music playing in the background as well. This incredibly great restaurant is located just a few blocks to the north of Piccadilly Circus, and there are no tourists at all in the restaurant. The food is so delicious and warm, and you just get feelings and thoughts of Italy. I really recommend eating here. You’ll instantly notice the reason when you do it!

Have you ever wandered into a restaurant because you were getting really hungry, were in a rush to be somewhere else, and the place had(lots) of empty tables? Well, in this case, the best advice would be to keep looking. 2 colleagues and I had originally hoped to get into Chowki for a bite before a gig, however it was completely heaving and we didn’t stand a chance. After some furtive darting about Soho we settled on the Piccadilly. Appearance-wise it seemed functional enough — a little tacky in that 70’s/80’s sort of way. The menu offered standard Italian fare, and the resulting food I could only describe as «the bare minimum to pass muster and be called acceptable». My spaghetti carbonara was just on the claggy side of al dente, and the sauce was both alarmingly yellow, and not particularly pleasant — a sin covered only by the accompaniment of a predictably harsh house red. Where the place really let itself down was the customer service — the bill arrived and declared that in addition to our meals and the service charge, there was also a cover charge of around £4.50pp. We argued that this wasn’t indicated anywhere on the menu or on signs around the restaurant, and the waiter argues with us that someone’s got to pay for the breadsticks, and«for him to scrape the crumbs off the table». We rationalised that so as not to be completely uncivilised we’d just cross out the service charge and be on our way. At this juncture the waiter chased us up the road and accused us(loudly) of not having paid our bill. We debated this point in a perfunctory manner & insisted that service charge is an optional item, and he looked as if he’d briefly considered the idea of strongarming the £4.10 that was being debated out of us before resigning himself to the fact that maybe it wasn’t worth roughing up 3 burly chaps in broad daylight. His parting words as he turned to run back were: «Well, just don’t leave without paying next time». I can say with surety that it’s not an eventuality that’s likely to come up again.

The Piccadilly restaurant is simply good down to earth tasty food. I would go as far as to say that this is the best Italian food I have had since my experience at Frankie’s. When you first walk in the place looks small with white cloth tables and flowers. You get a real Italian feel from this place which lays the foundation for a true Italian experience in the heart of London’s West End. I highly recommend the alfredo, it was delicious. I went here alone so I could not really share the romantic setting with anyone on this occasion. Still I did not feel bad as the waiter was very friendly and made me feel welcome just the same. Go here for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed.
