If greasy sausage rolls, awful old fashioned cakes with nothing going for them apart from their high sugar content, and ‘home made’ bread which tastes nothing like home made bread then this place is great. It’s just like Greggs, who have set up camp directly opposite from them.
You can also find the staff smoking in the doorway at every opportunity. I’m a smoker but jesus, you don’t do it out the front of your shop with your apron and uniform on! Very unhygienic.
Avoid if you like real food.

If you like hot, savoury pasties, cakes and sandwiches you should pay Percy Ingles a visit.
In truth they are the same as Greggs, although Percy Ingle’s do tend to have more variety of cakes and fresh breads. Their cheese & onion pasties kick Greggs version clean out of the water.
On Roman Road there are many places to get takeaway food so there is a lot of competition. Percy Ingle do not make it into my top three places but they are certainly better than most.
