The macarons here are otherworldly. Light and airy, but not at all grainy like others. It’s like a mini cake with slightly chilled filling. The other pastries are also very good, but I can’t imagine a better macaron. They were even good after a plane flight.

Ok so let’s start with saying that I’ve only ever come here for coffee, so that’s the only thing I’ll be judging here.
Their service is good, coffee is even better and they do single shot coffees as a standard which is great as otherwise I’d be shaking all day!

I don’t even know if I’m reviewing the right PAUL but damn it since they’re all the same someone’s got to take the blame! Let me start off with … I love their macaroons … Their food however lacks flavour … No trips to flavour town with Paul I’m afraid. Their «Canard Aux Olives» was great the first time I had it but I was starving at the time so my judgement was clouded by lust and desperation for food, so I went again to give it another bash. The potato was over seasoned with nutmeg and there were lumps in there too …
The duck was nicely confeed but still did nothing for my tastes buds… Overall not bad but not brilliant

They serve the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted in my life! It’s literary melted chocolate without additional milk. The texture is thick and so good to have on your mouth. It’s perfection and I don’t find this anywhere else. The pistachio macaroons are also wonderful but try to have it with tea or coffee.

OMYGOD I will never have hot chocolate from any other place unless it’s Angelina in Paris. but GODDAMN Paul’s Hot chocolate is rich, thick and just pure chocolate. It’s none of that watered down stuff, it’s just so good. It’s like a step above every other chain, and a step below angelina. and ANGELINA IS KING. Paul is Queen. (it’s the 21st century, get with it, people.)
It so rich though, it takes a while to finish a regular cup and then it gets cold. Sad times.

This company does one of the best hot chocolates, none of that milky or watery stuff just lovely think smooth chocolate coating your throat. Lovely treat of indulgence.

I thought Paul was A-​OK. The café was cute. The food wasn’t bad (we had a quiche and a chocolate pastry with cappuccinos), the service was well, ok… I guess. Not big smile friendly, but not rude by any means either.
We were attracted by the beautiful display of pastries and had to make a quick ad hoc stop to try a few things. Everything was decent and the price wasn’t bad either. I can see this being a solid neighborhood café for the locals.

What will enlighten two girls at approximately 3pm?
A HUGE (chocolate) MACAROON and two steaming lattes made to order.
Done and done. The two girls behind the counter seemed a bit flustered, I should’ve recommended they grab a mug and join us to chill out a bit.
A cute little (chain) café with upper scale offerings, wonderful little treats and the appropriate amount of kick in the coffee.

Sandyford, Republic of Ireland
This is a great little café, offering you great pastries and some really good coffee. The atmosphere is very chilled out and the service is great. You never really have to wait too long. I love to just sit in a café with a good vibe to read. The fact I spent two hours there, is always a good sign!
There is only one unisex toilet, which is a bit annoying but its kept clean so you cant complain too much!
The staff are really lovely. Overall a great little café!
