With shoes such as these do gentlemen define themselves. I believe there’s a branch in Bishopsgate, but I prefer the Kings Road establishment. Nowhere else in the footwear world have I found such an elegant juxtaposition of form and function. Mr Sweeney designs and makes supremely good-looking shoes that just happen to swathe your feet in perfect comfort. As with the friend of my fellow reviewer(above) I find myself with five pairs of these things, and I dearly belove them. Great for casualness. Perfect with suits. You could probably wear them swimming and be the best-dressed chap on the waterslide, but I haven’t given that a go yet. A word to the wise: at full price, they’re about £250 a pair and upwards. So go at sale time or keep an eye out for the sample sales: they usually do one or two a year. For good shoes, I genuinely wouldn’t shop anywhere else. Prada and Gucci? You can keep them.

Being a female, i cannot comment from my own experience on the comfort of Oliver Sweeney shoes. However, they certainly look good, and by all acounts are the most comfortable shoes around. One friend of mine has five pairs and describes them as: direct quote ‘A must for any hetrosexual male out ‘on the pull’ or in the office.‘ The shoes look great, and the sales assistant was also very informative and helpful in choosing the best shoe.
