The reason I chose this place was because of the discount offered on Unilocal.I had a pedi and mani. The pedicure was French and she did well; however, I have an ingrown big toenail since the pedicure and had to go to a podiatrist a week later. He said my nail was clipped improperly! I also did the manicure, but that is nothing to write about. Seriously, nothing to write about. It was a basic and lasted 24 hours. They were nice and efficient and very busy. I will not be going back unless I have another big discount. Oh and by the way, when I showed them my Unilocal discount, they said that it was no longer available? However, they said they would go ahead and accept the discount. Very kind of them(yes, that was sarcasm).

OK, so I usually review things that don’t involve nails, but this place is great. My girlfriend needed to get a manicure and pedicure and since we were in the Docklands, I had to resort to Unilocal to find an adequate place. Let me just say that Oki-Doki is more than adequate — it’s great! It’s located conveniently right near all the residential buildings near Canary Wharf, making it easily accessible from anywhere in the Isle of Dogs area. It’s very clean, modern, charming and you can tell that there is something to it that other nail salons don’t have — a sense of neighborhood! People actually chat with each other and the staff makes friendly talk to all customers. There is no TV, which, as the owner Mike explained, is on purpose, to encourage discourse among clients and those who work there. While the place is small, it isn’t cramped. The big plush chairs have massage elements built in. The staff is quick and professional. They offer you tea and coffee and in such a friendly manner! And Mike, the owner, is a gem. He really is excited about his business and loves talking to customers. While my gf’s nails were drying, he and I had a good 15 min chat about how he started the business, why he organized it the way he did, etc. At the end, I’m as excited about going there to chat with him as my gf is about getting her nails done. The quality of the job, by the way, is top notch. And the prices are significantly cheaper than comparable nail bars in Canary Wharf or London proper(probably 25% cheaper here). Highly recommend to all who want to experience what a true neighborhood business looks like!

Fantastic nail bar. Mike and the team are gracious and welcoming. And the pedicure was both high quality and well priced. Will be back on my next visit to London.

I love this place for two reasons: excellent manicures/pedicures and great, friendly service. The quality is outstanding and the two manicures and 1 pedicure that I’ve had so far have been among the best ever. I have had my nails done in many places around the globe, so I have a lot to compare with. I’m also ridiculously picky; I want it to be perfect and I can spot any little thing that isn’t(sounds like I’m a wonderful customer, huh? ;). At Oki-Doki Nail Bar I don’t need to worry. Anne, who’s done my nails so far, has been taken very good care of me: carefully removing old shellac polish without damage, carefully removing cuticles without damage, and painting the coats flawlessly. The pedi was fantastic too. They have really good massage chairs to relax in, and I also got a heavenly foot massage. Mikey, which I’m guessing is the owner, and his team have created a very friendly atmosphere at this salon. I felt like a regular the first time I was there, and have been treated as such every time since — even on the phone when I call to make an appointment. It’s personal and friendly and there are jokes and laughter all around — love it! I’m trying to think of something negative to write, but I honestly can’t think of anything. Oh! They have to sort out the card machine(because I never carry around enough cash). I guess that would be the only thing to improve ;).
