I rather miss the«old» O2 Centre. There were fishtanks and waterfalls and now there’s a coffee shop and a frozen yoghurt place. I wouldn’t exactly call it an improvement. But there has been some improvement made to the stores inside — the old Chinese place is long gone and replaced by some much better stores. Waterstones and Habitat both remain, and both are good examples of their stores. At the back of the centre there is a Sainsburys which is quite a good sized one. But while the O2 used to be unique and exciting(although the rockery things up and down the escalators were a bit tacky), it’s now a purely by the numbers example of a small modern shopping centre. I’m surprised that it has retained the«O2» name in light of the O2 Arena, as I figure the brand would have wanted to ensure that there was no confusion between the two. In the very least I would have expected an O2 shop inside it. It’s fine, but it isn’t the destination that it once was.

The O2 is an odd beast, one of those centres you’d normally find in the suburbs but this one is right on Finchley Road. They have a good variety of restaurants, a cinema, Sainsburys, and a few shops. It’s clean and well kept, but not exciting. Back when it first opened in 2000, it was really neat, with cool fountains and fish tanks and lots of seating. Now, it’s pretty soulless. Not worth a special trip but useful when you’re in the area.

Not many shops but great for somewhere to eat before a movie at their cinema — Vue. Good selection of restaurants from Byron Burger to Wagamama. Rossopomodoro looked very popular, and I was thrilled to find a frozen yoghurt bar(Yoomoo)!

We were staying a block away on Finchley Rd. and were thrilled to find the O2 Centre just steps away. It is a cozy little mall with many restaurants, theatres and a grocery store. Every day we were in London we found ane reason or another to visit, we would have a bite at one of the many restaurants(or food bars), grab a few items for breakfast the next day from the grocery store, buy a book or stop by Habitat. Yes, we brought quite a few items back from that store. All in all, this was a great go-to place for us and can’t wait to go back.

Strange centre… There is very few shops in this centre, mostly restaurants. It is always clean but never quite feel right. I am not sure if it is the layout or the combination of shops… I do like visiting the centre as I like Habitat which still have a big shop located here. If it was not for that I would not have bothered…

A decent little mall with everything we could need: a cinema, a market, and a few restaurants(one of which is a Nandos!). Since this was very close to where we used to live, we came here often.
