If you like to customize your salad, this is the place to go. But in fact this is also where you will get suggested salad options for those amongst us who don’t like to make decisions(me?) … But aside from salads, they also do the typical English café stuff like coronation chicken, panninis etc. I have to say, during my first visit I was a bit overwhelmed as there was so much choice and much of it looked really delicious. I really appreciated the friendly staff though, who was patient with me and my indecisiveness and didn’t get at all frustrated. I can recommend this place as a healthy and inexpensive lunch spot if you’re in Fitzrovia or Marylebone.(Don’t go here if you like it posh and fancy.)

Good fast over the counter lunches. Just enough chaos on ordering-paying-picking up to remind you that you are in the city. Just enough outdoor seating(well relevant if the weather is okay and/or you are eating fast). I have done the Falafal wrap a couple times but also companions have no complaints about the good assortment of open-faced sandwhiches, salads, and even some hot meals.

I stumbled upon this the first Sunday I was in London. I went out for a nice walk after recovering from a massive jet-lag related headache, and I was ready for some food. This was actually one of the only places I came upon within the mile or so I had walked that was actually open. When you walk into Nani’s you see a deli case full of delicious-looking sandwiches. The first time I came here I ordered a tuna sandwich that came with kernels of sweet corn, salad and chili sauce. I was a little skeptical about how this would turn out, especially considering the sandwich served pressed and warm. I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase. The addition of chili sauce was brilliant, and may be something I’ll try when I get back to making sandwiches at home. I stopped into Nani’s again last Sunday. My boyfriend was in town visiting, and we both had a hankering for a delicious sandwich. It seemed like they had a bigger selection of sandwiches on my most recent visit, but I think it was just that I was feeling a little more awake. This time I went for the Italian chicken sandwich – a lightly breaded, thin piece of chicken with a light amount of tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. It seriously was as delicious as it sounds, and for £4.40, it’s was a good deal. The coffee here is also pretty good. I ordered a coffee, it came white, which I usually don’t go for, but it was quite good. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer of this place while I’m in London.
