The peri peri chicken was too good… Make it a meal with sides and your stomach will be happy. Friendly staff and good ambience…

A couple friends and I came here on a weeknight because we had heard good things about this place. I’m sad to say that — for me at least — the food/service was a bit disappointing. I ended up getting the Grilled Chicken Pitta, and the food I received was different than what I had imagined. Basically, my dish consisted of a pitta pocket with salad and chicken stuffed inside. That description in itself doesn’t sound bad, but the food didn’t taste all that great either. The pitta had a strangely artificial taste and the chicken was a tad dry. The salad mix was pretty good though! I also thought their choice of plating was really weird — my pitta came on a way-oversized plate… half the dish was empty, which I feel isn’t a good thing for them because it creates the illusion to customers that they aren’t getting that much food. The biggest complaint I have is for the slow service. It took an abnormally long time for our group to get our food, even though the place wasn’t that busy when we went. One of my friends ordered a salad, and it took around 20 – 25 minutes for that to come out(which only happened after we reminded them). I personally don’t think a salad takes that long to prepare, so I’m pretty sure her order was somehow lost/forgotten(especially since they asked to see her receipt) which reflects kind of poorly on their organization. Overall, my experience here wasn’t the best. The food is pretty cheap though, so if you’re on a budget maybe check this place out.

Well as Nandos go(which is normally good I must say) this one is mediocre! Service was OK and ambiance not bad apart from the LOUD gross music playing not so in the background! I decided to go for 2 ‘fino’ sides of sweet potato mash and ratatouille… DONT bother these are small and not all that good in my opinion, same size as regular sides which are cheaper and better quality. The sweet potato mash was warm at best and the ratatouille had a wooden stick in it(from the sweetcorn holder — but not mine!) This was however changed when I immediately pointed it out. After few mins it was replaced but I had eaten my warm mash and half the chicken then. I also over heard whilst typing this a guy on next table complaining to the manager, who seemed to be blaming a lack of staff! I spoke to manager to give feedback who was very amicable and professional…

Well Nandos is Nandos. The thing which can set this apart from the rest would be service. The service here on this particular night was extremely bad. I had to wonder if Monday night was trainee night. Having ordered my usual of the chicken and pitta with, on this occasion, a glass of wine. I was a little perplexed to be asked for £26!!! Now I don’t come here often but, this was rather pricey. The assistant did ask for help which did reduce the bill to a more appetising £13. Having waited a while for our food, halfway through my meal I realised, no wine!!! Finally flagging down an assistant to point this out, off he went, only to return to ask whether it was a bottle. ‘No’ I responded. ‘I only wanted a glass’. Shortly after a glass came. And by glass I mean glass! Void of wine! Any how. After requesting wine again and brought red. ‘No, I ordered white’, finally the wine came. Food finished! Maybe I should have gone for the bottle. Place not busy in a Monday do failed to see why our orders could not have been filled correctly. Poor service all round which was laughable and we did laugh!

When I was studying abroad in London, this Nando’s was my go-to spot for a(relatively) nice dinner. I quite like the food here since we don’t have Nando’s in the US(at least not on California!). It’s a bit pricey, especially to a student, so I didn’t come here as often as I wanted to. But now that I’m back in the States, I still crave this place so often! T_T The service at this particular Nando’s is OK. It’s a bit inconsistent sometimes. I’ve had my food come really quickly and I’ve also had to wait for my food for a little bit. My order straight up didn’t come once ’cause I think they accidentally gave it to the wrong table, but they were nice about it and let me choose something else from the menu. The food, however, is generally spot on. Sometimes the chicken here is a bit burnt, but that’s not entirely a problem to me. Maybe I’m just weak but even the Medium sauce is a bit too spicy for me! But I like the flavor of it, so I usually got Medium or Mango Lime. My favorite sides were the spicy rice and creamy mash, but Peri Peri chips are an absolute MUST. My friends and I got hooked on the sangria here, so good. So if you’re in the area and you want Nando’s, this one is pretty alright. I recommend it.

Nando’s ist eine portugisische, weltweit agierende Kette mit einigen Fillialen in UK. Ein englischer Kollege gab mir den Tipp, hier einmal das Huhn zu probieren. Ich ass ein halbes Piri-Piri Hähnchen(sehr gut zubereitet) mit Chips(also Pommes) und einer Art Kohlsalat. Die schärfe des Gerichtes kann man beim bestellen bestimmen, wird dann aber nicht in der Küche zubereitet, sondern in Form einer Flasche an den Tisch gebracht. Praktisch, so kann man den Schärfegrad final noch selbst bestimmen. Medium war übrigens absolut verträglich! Geschmeckt hat es, satt wurde ich und 12 Pfund habe ich bezahlt. Dabei schlug das Mineralwasser(ca. 0,5 Liter(die Engländer und ihre Messgrößen, ein Rätsel)) mit 2,25 Pfund zu Buche. Zu teuer! Pro: — Lecker und gut zubereitet — Sehr aufmerksame Bedienung — Großzügiges Ambiente Contra: — Seltsamer Bestellprozess: ich wurde freundlich empfangen, zu einem Tisch geleitet und die Karte wurde gereicht. Dann musste ich jedoch aufstehen, zum Counter gehen, dort bestellen und bezahlen und durfte anschließend wieder zurück zu meinem Tisch. Das Essen wurde hingegen wieder geliefert. Hat mich nicht umgebracht, aber etwas seltsam empfand ich es schon. — zu teueres Mineralwasser

I was very curious about this place because it is a(more or less) Portuguese restaurant. It was a great opportunity to eat ‘frango assado” in the Her Majesty’s Kingdom! The«frango assado» is a Portuguese specialty, barbecue chicken slow roasted on charcoal with piri piri sauce(a spicy chili from East Africa Coast). Nando’s is a Portuguese embassy in the world! I’am a huge fan of the concept! The food is pretty good! And the décor is very tasteful! And the Portuguese waitress Ana is very nice! I love the Barcelos Cockerel! I will buy one!

Came to this nandos because the one in camden town had crappy wasn’t too bad here, chicken was good(only bad thing was the breast part was a bit dry) it took a while for us to get our food since we ordered quite a lot. I really like the hot sauce they have(i mix the hot one with the garlic one) Not a bad place to have a dinner

Things I never leave a Nando’s without: Full tummy. Feeling of being on fire. As per usual, I was disappointed on neither account. Still, I feel like this Nando’s somehow has less pizazz. It’s definitely more crowded, but with a multitude of pubs nearby, it’s not too much of a problem to run out and grab a pint as you are waiting for a table. Unless you’re starving. Which I usually am when I’m on my way to Nando’s. If you’ve never been to Nando’s, go to a different one first. They are a great chain and I don’t want your first impression to be a meh!

Sub par compared to the five other Nando’s I have been to in London. Maybe I eat there too much? Nah — never. Food was good(per usual) but the restaurant smaller capacity and the layout requires that you walk through the entire restaurant to get to the counter. As a customer shoveling as much chicken in my mouth I can get my claws on, the last thing I want to be distracted by is a queue next to my table. And don’t touch my garlic peri peri dawg!

Long live the King — the chicKING that is! In the 80’s if you said chicken — it was KFC, then in the 90’s came the pretenders like Kensessy Fried Chicken, Perfect Fried Chicken etc. But as we travelled and experimented with food our pallets became more demanding. The Colonel responded with Twister Wraps and Zinger Burgers… well whilst all this was going on an egg was laid in the town of Jo’burg in 1987, and this little egg hatched and the chicken was called Nando. Nando liked to travel too and in 1992 he made it to the shores of the UK. Several years on Nandos is a firm favourite on the high street, and though KFC is still the no.1 quick fast food chicken joint it is no longer the King of Chicken. The crown now rests firmly on the head of Nando. Nandos is the best chicken money can buy, Holborn’s Nandos is large and airy serving succulent tasty chicken at a reasonable price. When I visited the gents urinal was leaking(eek!) but I’m not eating in the gents so I was not to perturbed by that. The staff were good the food was great and the price was right. Big thumbs up from me.

This was my first experience at a Nando’s since we don’t have one where I live in the US. A friend took us one night for dinner and it was amazing! I loved the ambiance and I had a difficult time deciding what to order. I opted for a ¼ chicken(lemon and herb) since I wasn’t sure how big it would be. Their PERi-PERi sauce is so good! I tried the Garlic and Wild Herb. I can’t wait to go back to try some other dishes. I like how they provide a sink for you to wash your hands after eating as well.
