Love love love this place! I’ve been coming here for years, it’s an absolute godsend! I always go to the roots bar, which means you can get the colour done in under an hour, excluding drying time, which is perfect for my hectic lifestyle. The stylists are super helpful and listen to your thoughts and make suggestions which they think will suit you and are achievable. The price is very reasonable for the area at just under £20. Ok, you have to dry it yourself, but you have all the products and accessories to do a fine job and a range of drinks to help motivate you — wine, coffee, all the necessities haha. All in all, if this place ever closed, I’d lose my go to place! I’m in at least once a month for a gloss and I’m always happy with the results. Appointment wise for the roots bar, you have to call on the day, so it’s best if you’re free in daytime hours, but occasionally they have evening slots and Saturdays too, so you can usually get fixed up!

I came is an unruly haired stress ball and left a steak haired and relaxed supermodel! Well… I felt like a supermodel. I always avoid hair cuts because most hairstylists botch my hair and i end up looking like the Hoff in night rider. The split ends became too much and I came here with a voucher from KGB. I walked in and had a quick consult with what I wanted. The tea/coffee machine was confusing so I opted for an OJ. I had a hair wash and got a deep hair conditioning. The head massage and the massage chair were the first point where I started to relax. Dan then sat me down and snipped all the split ends off. I’ve never seen someone blow dry my hair so quickly! He did an amazing job giving me a loose curl style. My hair looks and feels gorgeous. Mostly though I’d like to thank him for being so lovely and chatty. I’m going through a stressful time and, to be cliché, it was great to spill the beans to the hairdresser. I was discussing a Brazilian blow dry and will defo be back to get it done!!!

This was a funny experience. There was a great customer relaxation area that I was pointed to. I had to then make my own drinks etc. This was fine but it felt a bit impersonal and no one gave me a welcome. The haircut itself was great, but it’s a large salon and I didn’t feel special, lol. The magazines were also a bit naff ;) Maybe it’s me, but I do like to feel pampered — or at least like I matter! x

I came here after buying a Living Social voucher for a cut, colour, conditioning treatment, and blow-dry for £59. That’s a majorly good deal in the first place, and if you haven’t tried anything like Living Social or Groupon, I suggest you sign up immediately! Anyway I wish I remembered the name of the girl who did my hair but unfortunately I’m horrible with names. I’ve been in need of a haircut and colour for a looong time, and I’m very happy with the results! I’ve been slowly going redder with box dyes but I knew I couldn’t go much redder with those. The stylist went through with me certain colours I could choose from and we opted to mix two colours together. I figured it wouldn’t take too much since my hair is relatively dark, but wow! It looked amazing in the end. Pretty much exactly the colour I’d been wanting all this time. I was really happy with the cut too, I’ve had long naturally curly hair for the past 3 years, so I really wanted a pretty dramatic change. We cut it just a bit longer than shoulder length and she layered it and textured it beautifully :) I wouldn’t have minded going a bit shorter actually, but next time I get a haircut I’ll ask whoever does my hair to get it shorter. To be honest I wouldn’t spend £60−70 on a haircut, which I believe is the running price here normally, so I probably won’t go back. As a student I don’t like to spend lots of money on all of this. However, if you do have the money to spend, I’d highly recommend trying them out!

This is my latest fab find in London. I stumbled across their website and liked the look of it and decided to give them a try(my previous favourite hairdressers were getting too pricey for me — you know when the prices seem to go up every time you visit!) I got a half head of highlights and the whole experience from start to end was so good. They stylist asked me lots of questions about my hair and about how I liked the colour to be, I felt like he had a really good understanding of what I wanted. When I was waiting for the foils to take you sit in a «chillout area» where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks and there are two macbooks for you to surf the web on which was brilliant and meant I could catch up on emails! The results were just what I wanted — a real sunkissed look! I can’t wait to go back for a cut, the salon has a nice relaxed atmosphere and the extra touches such as the chillout area make this salon really special.

i was drawn to this salon through a social deal as well. not sure if i got what i paid for or if it’s normally like this… i wouldn’t pay their full price for the terrace-like hair cut(meant to be layers) and bleach streaks(meant to be subtle hi lights). additionally, i prefer to have the same person cut and color so they have an integrated vision compared to the disjointed head of hair i got. the cut guy had to fix some of the color by cutting off the shelf of blond against a dark patch. it wasn’t a terrible job but i’ve definitely had better. really nice guys and cool lounge area. unfortunately, i think they need more cut/color experience.

This salon is not far from where I work so I was excited when Wahanda advertised a super-duper Mobdeal for a cut, treatment and glass of wine for £20. In London, that’s a total bargain. I headed along after work, impressed that they are open till 9pm! I was offered my glass of wine and a choice of magazines to read while I waited which wasn’t long to be honest(I noticed they also have free ice creams for customers too). My stylist Reena was really friendly and I explained that I hadn’t been too happy with the haircut I had at a different salon. She worked out the reason why, the previous stylist had put too much texture in and thinned the hair out too much. We both decided that this time she’d concentrate more on the ends and leave the texture as it was for now to allow it time to even out. I relaxed in a massaging chair while getting my head massaged — always amazing! Then Reena got on with the cut, doing a great job and asking exactly how I liked my fringe too. I was really pleased with the results and walked out of there swishing my hair. I’d definitely consider going back. While I was there a film crew arrived to film something for channel 5. I didn’t feel awkward and wasn’t hurried through in order to get out of their way either.

I was lured to the salon through a special on Wahanda for a 20GBP haircut. Little did I know that Lisa Shepherd is a hair colourist to many celebrities throughout northern England and is regularly featured on TV. This her first salon in London. While Lisa did not touch my hair and wasn’t in the vicinity, I had an amazing haircut — I hardly recognise myself because my hair is so voluminous now. yikes! The place has several star stylist and is very accommodating. There is even a «chill out» area.
