Murdock’s always seem to have something I’m looking for, in regards to shaving gear and travel/​wash bags.

This review is for the shop and products only. I dropped in here on a whim and decided to look for a few things for my boyfriend. I happily chatted to the two men working about what I was looking for, and they took the time to show me their product lines, and the differences between the eleventeen male hair products they offer…
I left with a post-​shave lotion, soap and some hair stuff. It all smells AMAZING. All three are wins with my boyfriend so I’ll definitely be back.

A proper barbershop with a modern edge. Far more than a haircut, you can expect expert advice and a wide array of high-​quality products to extend the experience to your home. The staff strike the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable and in-​the-​know.

For me, Murdocks offers the best wet shave in London, with the Covent Garden outlet being my favourite within the chain. It offers the usual haircut/​shaving options together with a shop which sells a range of ‘male’ focussed goods — i.e. more shaving items, colognes, hip flasks, books and other accessories.
There are two barbers who work here — one downstairs and one upstairs. I prefer the upstairs because it is a little more private. The downstairs option is more lively but can be a bit distracting as people pop in/​out of the shop which is also downstairs. Usually, I opt for the ‘full service’. This is a wet shave followed by a haircut. The shave is relaxing and performed with practiced expertise and is the real highlight.
All the staff I have met are super friendly which adds to the general good vibe! In short — recommended.
