Mr Liu’s Chinese Take Away

The servers here were so rude and unobservant when I came here, super hungry, with my boyfriend.
We arrived, and it was a relatively empty place (with only 2 groups) and the waitress didn’t even say hello, but snapped «do you have a reservation?»
We were seated and I was keen to order and drink some water, but the 5 waitresses didn’t seem to notice me or my boyfriend trying to flag them down for 20 minutes, they were too busy serving the two groups before is or chatting.
The food was alright. I got a Chinese noodles dish, some Hargau and prawn crackers. I enjoyed my noodles and I wonder if the Hargau was hand made because they tastes very good, however my prawn crackers were very cold.
Anyhow, I would have given this place more stars if I felt like I was welcomed in their restaurant. They didn’t pay any attention to me or my boyfriend and even though there was plenty of room, I felt like my boyfriend and I were being rushed out. I am not sure if I would come back again.

A fantastic local restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly and food is fantastic. We regularly go in there to treat ourselves and have never had a bad experience. Their salt and chilli chicken wings are fab.

One of the last Chinese restaurants left in the area decent quality takaway is good. Recommended if you like old style Chinese

Good Chinese food, served as take away, delivery and eat in at the restaurant. This is our regular Chinese delivery service and we are generally very impressed with the food. Occasionally disappointing when they are busy, but usually prompt and delicious.

Really good chinese food served in a lovely little restaurant, which is designed somewhat like a cosy living room. The staff are all friendly and helpful in my experience. The menu has a good range of options to choose from including good set menus, and they are very efficient as a take-​away service too. Mr Liu himself is a jolly man, and can be seen making appearances on the restaurant floor now and again! This is my favourite place for quality chinese food, where it’s worth spending a little bit more.
