I appreciate the sentiment guys but why does must it look so, so… rubbish.
It’s modern yeah, they unveiled this moment in 2005, clearly remembering the women who fought or worked during the Second World War was an afterthought…
It’s right in the middle of Whitehall but I only noticed it when the street was deserted for a march, so it’s definitely doing it’s job of highlighting something we don’t often think about.
I think the women of World War II should be remembered with a classic, striking — GOOD monument.
