What a treat to find an old time gay bar in the heart of the city. An intimate gaudy mix of traditional local, music hall and burlesque bar makes this a fine example of the best in old style queer culture. Friendly crowd and roaring atmosphere make it unmissable for me. While gentrification threatens many established venues with demolition for high end housing, I can only hope the Molly Moggs current lease(up for sale) falls in to safe hands.

Small but very busy pub. Traditional London cabaret. Great night out. Sunday highly recommended cabaret from around 4 till late.

Fantastic little pub. We were led in by the sign«Finest Beers» at the entrance, and we had fun choosing tunes to play instead of the poppy electronic music they had on. I requested Queen and got to hear two of my favorites before they changed it to Barry White! Spectacular choice, he’s from Texas just like me! Julie showed up and I got to take a Polaroid picture with her. I hope she posts hers here because mine didn’t develop correctly which was hugely disappointing for me! I grew up in a neighborhood full of gay bars so there was no element of discomfort for me here. It’s worth a stop if you’re in soho and enjoy a mixed crowd instead of the typical lot of 9 to 5ers. Cheers!!!

I really like this small pub on Charing Cross Road. It has a really cosy feel to it. Handy if you want a quick pint before a show. They actually have cabaret nights. You would not think the place would be capable, due to it’s size, but it carries it off.

Crazy Soho pub is fun crowded and basically typical of what you would expect of a pub in Soho. While it tries to stand out with drag queens behind the bar and a bit of karaōke at the end of the day it comes down to very small servings of cheap liquor. And plastic glasses? Fun for sure, but stop through for a round and move on.

Ran in to this place by «accident» and loved it. Crowded and they had open mic night, wich me and my hubby just love. We were on our way to another place, Murphy’s karaōke — and unfortunately we left Molly Moggs after just one song each to go there, just to discover it has closed… for good. Next time we’ll stay att Molly’s

Great pub that I just learned about recently. Nice staff, cold beer and a cute little place. Will be back for sure.

The pubs not that big so gets very busy, the worst thing is drinking out of plastic glasses. As long as you’re open minded its brilliant, with a drag act leading the karaōke. Never short of singers and a friendly mixture of all ages. Took my 77 year old mother in there and she really enjoyed it until feeling unwell. Very caring clientelle and staff who looked after Mum until the ambulance arrived. It is well worth a visit.

We stumbled upon this place on our last night in London and it was an absolute gem! I think it’s a gay pub, but it seemed like a mix of all kinds of people. Everyone was kind and welcoming to my fiancé and me. The pub was packed shoulder to shoulder(Saturday night) and the karaōke was the best I’ve ever experienced. Singing a Beatles song in London with the entire crowd joining was a major trip highlight for myself. Will definitely be back here on my next trip to London.

Tiny little gem. Far better to come here than spend a fortune at the theatre next door watching Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Very hot as others have said but marvellous entertainers!

I really love this place. Its on the main road but because it’s a gay pub, its tends not to be too crowded with tourists. Bonus! The bar staff are also really friendly and I love the décor which primarily consists of playbills pasted on the wall and touches of velvet and gold. There is an upstairs part of the pub but I think that’s solely for drag performances. At least that’s what I could gather from a poster on the wall. If you’re looking for a place to grab a glass of wine or a pint near Soho and Leicester Square but want to avoid the tourists, I’d highly recommend Molly Moggs.

Is there some sort of pub crawl and/or game where you have to find pubs or bars with your name in them? If so, I WIN. P. S. I have actually been here, this wasn’t just me searching for London pubs that include the name Molly. It is a nice little gay-friendly pub with photos of drag queens on the wall and wordless techno blasting from the speakers.

This little gem on the corner of Old Compton Street is a superb little pub to go for a reasonably priced bevvy during the day, while by night fabulous drag shows abound. This place is an historic and essential part of the Soho scene with great bar prices for such a central location and quaint trad pub features. One word of caution it is a very small pub and can and does get packed out especially when there is a show on so don’t neccessarily expect a seat. Other than that this place gets five stars for its great non commercial feel.
