Very good Portuguese restaurant on Wandsworth road. During the week and they offer a great discounted set menu which offers starters, main and coffee for £10. There is a very good selection on the set menu and all are great considering the price. Its a homely and unfussy place that doesn’t seem to get too busy but thats probably because of location as the food is great.

I agree with Marc C comments. I had the same experience years ago. We then went back 2 years later to give them a second chance. Exact same rubbish. Bad service. Unprofessional. Average food.

I was really excited to go here and called ahead to see if they had availability. My wife and I walked in and… nothing happened. No one came to help us — the various workers running around saw us, but didn’t bother to say hi, just a minute or anything. I finally grabbed one of them and asked for a table; he seemed confused, then eventually muttered okay, just a minute(mind you there were open tables). He then disappeared and didn’t come back. A few minutes later, I grabbed another employee and asked them for a table; they also walked away and didn’t come back. After ten minutes of just standing there, we finally walked out the door — unsurprisingly, no one tried to stop us. Tried out A Toca two doors down; at least they are interested in seating people! I am as baffled as anything else.

I was taken to this restaurant by my Portuguese friends, and they love it. Unassuming local place with the walls lined with jerseys of Portuguese football players who have made it to UK teams. I could have done without the TV screens but they do get the Portuguese games. Highlights included the clam starter with the most delicious lemon broth which happily danced into the bread, the flaming chorizo, and the baked cod and potatoes which I was informed was very typical. Everything was delicious and it was so refreshing to go to a low-key place with authentic food, smiling people enjoying their meals and conversation together, and good service.
