In our family, when you turn 16, we had this family tradition of getting your first diamond and pearls. Mine was a ring from Mikimoto. After searching for years for the ring that I had loved and gone missing (crazy ex bf involved). A design close to the original has come back into production! So happy! The classics are never lost but maybe stolen. ;-)
I’ve gone to pearl markets in Beijing and Shanghai and my gf’s have had amazing luck in finding great finds. Like a 100 USD strand appraised for 1,000 USD. But for jewelry worthy of passing down to family. Let it be Mikimoto!
