Loved this place! Booked it for my mum’s birthday so we went for a family meal. We were sat at a table that was close to the door and when I asked for us to move to a table further away from the door, the staff were very accommodating and moved us straight away. Good start. We opted for the mezze and chose the mixed salad, chicken wings, Lebanese sausage, fish, humous with lamb, potatoes and spinach parcels.(I would put the Lebanese names down but I can’t remember them — sorry!) in addition, everyone got a flatbread each to accompany their meal. The humous was delicious, the meat was all so tender and nicely spiced and the fish was soft. All in all a very good meal. Once our plates had been cleared away they offered us Lebanese mint tea and placed a plate of complimentary fresh fruit on the table which was a nice touch. They also gave us the option of choosing a dessert and some baklava. We had this rose flavoured vermicelli dessert which had a milky custard underneath which was nice and light — the perfect end to a delicious meal. And an added bonus — the dessert was also complimentary! The service was very good, the staff were very attentive and answered our questions when we asked for recommendations. I was very impressed and recommend that if you want to try some tasty Lebanese food then definitely visit here! It’s located on the Marble Arch end of Edgware Road so it’s really easy to get to! Great place!

I was so excited to introduce my dining partner to his first ever Lebanese meal when we came to this restaurant. We ordered a large variety of mezze dishes, which were freshly made, but everything was overly lemony. I love lemon, but I don’t believe it should overwhelm the flavor of every dish and make you pucker your mouth which each bite. Disappointing.

I went back last night with a few friends and I have to say that I’m no longer such a fan of Maroush Gardens and will drop my rating from four to three stars. We ordered 5 different starters(meze) and then each of us ordered their own main course. The starters were definitely my favourite; in fact — I would recommend future visitors to only order a variety of starters(hot, cold, salads, bakeries) and not even bother with the entrees. These are the starters you may want to go for: Hommos Beiruty, Moutabal Baba Ghanouj, Mouhamara(excellent!), Lahem B’agine & Fattoush Salad. Here’s my thoughts on the main courses: one of my friends ordered the sea bass and she said that the cut was very«unfortunate» as she was digging through bones. Usually, she goes, when you cut a fish a certain way, you can actually take out the entire skeleton at once and then enjoy the meat. But maybe this is the Lebanese way of serving the fish? On the upside, when you order meat for a main course, you will be getting heaps of it — the portions are really generous. I, for example, ordered the Chicken Shish Taouk and it was nice. Nevertheless, I suggest you stick with the starters and maybe one chicken dish(which would feed at least two or three). Also, you will find a cover charge on your bill, which«covers» such things as bread and sides of vegetables. Speaking of which, you will find that they place a bowl of fresh vegetables on your table: lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, mini cucumbers, bell pepper & radishes. To be honest, we didn’t quite know what to do with them and so we left them mostly untouched. When I slipped away to the bathroom later on, I saw how this salad bowl is supposed to be used: you chop up the veggies and prepare a salad. Doh! The Lebanese beer tastes nice — so I can recommend that as well.

I‘m a big Lebanese food fan and after visiting most of the Lebanese Restaurants in London I must say that Maroush is number 1 ! Great décor, great service and amazing fresh food!

Pleasant well laid out & spacious, not too noisy. Attentive pleasant willing service. Went for a pre-arranged group dinner so can’t comment on the wines. My multi course dinner had all good quality food and was above average and very enjoyable, especially the fish. Certainly plenty to eat! The final fruit dish was also just right, but I was rather full by then! I’ll have to revisit to get more familiar with authentic Lebanese food.

Very good Lebanese food for being on a different continent and rather authentic. Staff are friendly. We were two and didn’t make a reservation on a bank holiday weekend but thanks to a cancellation we got a table. All the food is like what you get back in the middle east and service is quick. It was a bit warm and I felt some bugs come in through the door but otherwise head over here if you want to eat some Arabic food in a restaurant(not streetside café) on Edgware road without being stared at like in every other joint!

Well spaced tables, and unhurried but attentative service. The grilled chicken and lamb is the main attraction :) Generous with the salads and fruit platter after the main course.

The food is traditional Lebanese with favourite dishes like Shish Taouk, lamb kebabs, dolma, hoummous. The food is very good, the service competent and attentive but the best thing about the restaurant is the décor! The place is gorgeous, the entrance is a see through floor with an aquarium underneath. Its not the biggest place and can feel a bit crowded when its full. The price is middle of the road thus you can have a nice meal for two under £50.

This place is a real treat… gorgeous smells followed by succulent grills and never ending dips… try the houmus! and the babaghanoush… ANDTHELAMB! But don’t get too full because there will be a complimentary fruit platter at the end with exotic yummies galore. It doesn’t feel like a chain at all. Our rather snooty waiter was absolutely certain that veal is made from sheep and quite scathing when we objected, but I think he was a one off. You should eat here.
