This is the perfect spot to buy a healthy alternative to other fast food options before hopping on a train. Conveniently located in Victoria Station, this Marks & Spencer has a great selection of «grab and go» fresh fruits, salads, pre-made sandwiches, nuts, cheeses, juices and other healthy(and not-so-healthy) snacks. Buy a baguette and some other nibbles and have yourself a gourmet picnic while riding the rails. Great spot for picky eaters because one can get a fancy salad with bottled sparkling water while another can get crisps and a Diet Coke. It is pretty pricey so don’t expect a bargain, but everything I’ve ever bought here has been tasty.

I’m rather fond of this particular Marks and Spencer’s. Don’t be fool — this is a food only shop, so you’re not going t find a t-shirt hiding away in here. It is located in Victoria station, and is accessible from both inside and outside the station. There is a huge range of sandwiches, this place is perfect to pick up something for lunch, as well as salads etc. The layout is as good as it can get considering that they had to built the store around some existing pillars, but you still do get some blackspots at lunchtime where there are just so many people trying to get around — particularly next to the long sandwich fridge. Although the queue can get long, it does move fast as they tend to open enough checkouts to deal with it. There are plastic cutlery and napkins just by the exit after the checkouts. All in all, this is a good small store which is particularly of use for sandwich/lunch related food.

My saving grace while staying at The Grosvenor. 2 liter bottles of water for 50 pence, 1.50GBP for an egg sandwich, and inexpensive pastries. Great place to save money while in this part of London.

A typical railway station M&S. Here you’ll find a lot of ready-to-eat meals, which the travelers and local office workers seem to enjoy. I don’t come here often as I usually bring my lunch to work(and I work in the area) but one time I needed to buy lunch and got a tasty bean medley at this M&S.
