M & S offer very good value for money and have an excellent selection of clothes and accessories. The shop is well organised and the staff are friendly, unlike some other m & s shop I’ve been to.

This marks and spencer is better than the marble arch flagship(in my opinion). This place was much more organised and comfortable to shop in. The dressing rooms are spacious and the store employees were polite and very friendly. The next time I want to shop at m&s I’m coming here!

I first visited this M&S with my mum who was in London from the States and had promised a friend back home that she’d pick her up some of their famous underwear.(At the time I did not know the panties had such a level of acclaim globally.) I’ve returned many times since, branching out to hold-ups(that’s thigh highs to you, Americans), tights, dresses and tops. In fact, one of my favourite tops — which never fails to garner numerous compliments whenever I wear it – was procured here for about £20. M&S may not appear at first glance to be terribly on trend but anyone with a little patience to nosey through the racks can find a gem here. Oh and, in case you were curious, the underwear truly does live up to its reputation.

This is the M&S to visit when you’re shopping for underwear, as this store isn’t as busy as the flagship down the road. Plus, there’s a whole floor dedicated to bras, knicks and lingerie, ladies. But I mostly just buy my pants in the 5-packs. I’m partial to the gigantic full briefs. And I like to wear them once they’ve reached the perfect shade of spinster-grey and then go places where it’s necessary to strip down to just your pants, like massage or physiotherapy appointments.

ein Marks & Spenser’s wie jeder andere auch, mit dem Unterschied, dass dieser in der Oxford Street liegt.

M&S is a very popular Deptarment Store in the UK. They have everyhting from women’s clothing, men’s clothing, luggage, bags, shoes, towels, hats, umbrellas, underwear etc. Their prices are reasonable. You can take the bus or the tube to get to this place, it is very convenient. This is the place where I bought most of my gifts for friends and relatives, coz I’m not getting them anything from Harrod’s, that’s for sure. LOL

I’m not quite sure how to describe a Marks & Spencer to Americans. It’s very different from what we have, but I wish we had a Marks & Spencer on every corner. It’s a wonderful mash-up of Whole Foods, JC Penny, Deli and community grocery store. I grabbed lunch here three times and found so many things that were organic, healthy and delicious.

Yes well okay alright then, I may be ready to admit that there’s a chance I might be getting a little bit older and have started to buy clothes from M&S. We all know it’s long been acceptable to go there for underwear and tights — they just fit right, right, and cleverly mix the pretty materials with the comfort factor. Fine. But not for anything else. Right. So I was suitably aghast with myself this week when I hopped into Marks and Spencer for food, probably(another acceptable purchase) and noticed the most wonderful red coat I ever did see hanging somewhere prominent. Well, I thought, it is getting a bit cold, what could go wrong with trying it on? And oh my if I haven’t just found a wonderful coat. It’s a lovely cut, but also a sensible material, with useful pockets and warmth. I bought it the very next day and am now strutting merrily around the streets, safe in the knowledge that yes, if shopping for clothes in M&S means I’m getting old, then I’m just bloody happy to be doing it in a coat with a decent sized collar and well stitched seams.

I realize it must seem like my mission for this UK trip was to visit every M&S & I very well may have… This location boldly greeted us as we exited the Oxford Circus Tube Station Not as big or plentiful as the Flagship Store just a few blocks down the street but it certainly does the trick And…when looking for that missing size in your favorite skirt, their extremely friendly sales people will locate it for you & have it delivered to your location of choice! Or just walk a few blocks down & look for it yourself! And when you’re overloaded w/parcels, they will help you out to a cab! Talk about great service! Not all M&Ss carry all the same things so it PAYS to visit as many as you can! :-)

One of the two Marks and Spencer stores along the Oxford Street, this shop is situated between the Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street tube stations. This store underwent some interior renovations a year ago. The lower ground floor is a food hall space, which has a separate street entrance, but can also be accessed thorough the main store. The food hall is the best part of Marks and Spencer, as the quality of the food is second to none. The rest of the store is brimming with fashion and home items. My biggest issue is the way the merchandise is laid out, making it hard to find the things you are looking for. Various store brands — Per Una, Autograph, Limited Edition, etc, are all scattered through the store in helter-skelter fashion. It is also hard to find a shop assistant when you need one. More staff, especially during busy lunch hour and the weekends, wouldn’t go amiss. You won’t find ultra-fashionable clothes here, but if you can handle browsing through a lot of bland, drab, grandma-type of stock, you’ll inevitably discover a gem of a dress, or just a perfect pair of shoes. At great prices too. :)

I took my mother-in-law shopping here because she needed EVERYTHING. Shoes, skirt, top, sweater, pantyhose, bra, EVERYTHING! We were able to get it all under one roof! All in one go, which was great! No wandering around to tons of stores trying to get what you need. We even had a cup of tea and a cake in the café. A perfect day out! Prices are reasonable and close to what I would pay in the US(lets leave the exchange rate out of this!). I would say it is similar to Macy’s in the US. Expect different brands though.

This M&S is OK but not the best I’ve been in. The substantial clothing selection streches from Oxford street back for a full block. It has been recently refurbished and as a result is light and bright and open with fantastic changing rooms. The food section is very large with huge numbers of checkouts and sometimes they demonstrate their party foods(yum!). I’ve not had as much luck here with staff as while most are helpful, they do seem to often have a shortage so that one person is often scrabbling around trying to help many people. The substantial size of this M&S does mean most clothes can be found here but be warned that from around 11am and beyond, this M&S seems to fill to the brim with shoppers and as such is always busy. It is great to go and watch what other people are getting but can be annoying when shopping. The café upstairs in the back is nice and clean and while slightly pricy, sells M&S food so it’s a great way to try it. This is different than the fast food section in the basement in the food hall though and is more a café than a grab-and-go which is what is in the basement.
