Pretty small station. Used this as an alternative to the downed central line Bond station and just to meet some friends (kinda hard to miss the arch). Good place to get into Hyde park or the bottom of the Edgeware Lebanese group of shops

I rarely (if ever) get off or on at this station. It is on my way home from work, though, so I pass by it both when I take the Tube and when I cycle. It’s in an OK area. The Tube station underground seems to have some nice wall paintings. The park and actual Arch at street level are nice. Pretty easy to navigate this station, which I suppose is helpful for the myriad tourists who use it. There’s an Odeon theatre right nearby that I go to sometimes.

Dear god. Is this quite possibly the seediest stretch of Oxford Street in Marylebone? Perhaps. But this is a busy station and is what it is – a hectic mass of humanity just trying to get around in an orderly fashion. With the exception of tourist shops, there’s not much in the immediate area open until at least 23:00. A KFC, which should be renamed Homeless Hideaway, and a McD’s, which might be London’s worst McD’s. The stop itself looks like most others: enormously long escalators, old tile and more Covent Garden show poster advertising than New York’s Broadway.

A classic Central Line tube station at the northeast corner of Hyde Park. Marble Arch has been operating for over a hundred years and while the platforms don’t show their age, I think the entrance and ticket halls do to a certain extent. Construction doesn’t help; maybe it will be better when the project is complete.
It’s very crowded because it’s in a very tourist and commercial heavy part of London.
