Had a great english breakfast — not the full one, because they had no black pudding and the potatoes were fries. But the taste was excellent, was very quiet so we could enjoy our meal and the attendee was nice. The meal took a little while to come, but nothing really long. Oh, the cappuccino mug was also very tasty. Price of the english breakfast: £7.95. Cappuccino mug: £2.95.

We sat down inside as my traveling companions needed to rest. Food was good but I would advice to buy the items at the front — take away — cheaper. Or wait till you get to the Portobello street food vendors — varied choices, cheaper and great tasting.

‘Manzara’ in Notting Hill holds fond memories for me as I used to go to School nearby. On occasions when my friends & I did not stay in school during lunchtime we would sometimes head to Notting Hill for Chips and stuff. Manzara’s chips were especially favored by all and I remember having a good Lamb Donner, along the lines of ‘Chorum’ in Acton, a few times when I had more pocket money on me! It has changed in appearance a bit in the 20 years since I last visited it but food wise, standards have been upheld. I thought I would try the Lamb Shish as that is something I had never had the time to wait for during my schooldays. The Lamb cubes were large and obviously fresh. They were tender and tasty but a little under spiced/marinated for my preferences. The pita was fresh & grilled just right. The salad was simply onions, cucumber & tomato that the rather attractive young lady diced in front of me while the meat was being cooked. The Chilli Sauce was very thick and freshly made in a «coarse» manner that seemed more like a Mexican salsa in taste & texture. It was quite nice with a medium spicy kick but a little too cold, having been kept in the chilled display counter with the meat. I prefer the one they used to do, if memory serves me correctly, which was thinner and hotter. The service was efficient, helpful, friendly and relaxed so a justly deserved 10⁄10 on that score. Manzara is most definitely above average and Notting Hill Gate locals are blessed to have this Turkish establishment in their midst. RECOMMENDED!

These people are angelic, the food is perfectly OK and very reasonably priced, and if you get here before around 8 p.m. you can nurse a glass of wine and poke at a mezze or two while clearing your head and reading a book – in peace and quiet with an actual white linen table cloth. The maitre d’ from Cyprus is patient and charming, I’m addicted. It’s a lovely little space. If you’re a fan of protein like me, I recommend the tarama over the pide.

Travelling by myself, and I popped in here when I saw their«pide» displayed in the window… pide is like a gondola shaped pizza crust with different fresh vegetables, cheese, meat, etc. stuffed inside. It was something like 5 pounds for one. I got a pide with spinach, egg, feta and parsley, and it hit the spot! There wasn’t much ambiance in there, but it’s good and affordable for a quick bite.

I’m a fan of anywhere that puts food into a coal or wood-fired oven, and they have one here. Even just a small pidet(Lebanese ‘eye’-shaped breads with toppings) heated up in the oven is tasty(and cheap). You can grab food to take away, or eat in the café at the back. I’ve done both. A full size, hot cooked pidet, fresh from their oven is something to behold. Light, tasty dough, with delicious toppings such as ground lamb and cheese. If that kind of thing is as up your street as it is mine, you’ll love it. If you’re in the area and fancy something a bit different, this is your place.

Manzara is billed as a Turkish restaurant but it seemed to me they quite an Italian style to this little café. They have some good chicken dishes and a tasty lamb casserole but the most delicious thing i have ever had here are the pizza breads packed full of fresh ingredients as well as their amazing fish and chips dish which was so so good, it was a real melt in the mouth meal. From the outside it doesn’t look like much and inside there’s a greasy spoon kind of feel to it but don’t let that put you off because the food is great and the guys working there are really friendly and lively.

Manzara is a Turkish Café between Notting Hill Gate tube and Portobello Market. They sell a range of traditional, not particularly country specific, fast food dishes that you can take away or eat in. I go for the Borek which makes for a great snack to take as sustenance for the market. Borek is a sort of pie made from phyllo pastry and(in this case) cheese and spinach. It is like Greek Spanakopita though the cheese has a harder, more crumbly texture. A good place to get a snack for shopping.

I stopped here with some friends as a place to fuel-up with breakfast before hitting Portobello Road market. It’s a fairly typical diner, and was worth the stop. They do several types of breakfast, from the English fry-up, to yogurt and fruit, to pancakes and bacon, to a Mediterranean olives-and-cheese, and much more. Coffee is Lavazzo, so very good. At other times it’s your typical diner with both Mediterranean and British cooked meals of all sorts. You can also get a quick takeaway sandwich and drink if you’re on the move. None of it’s life-changing food, but it’s all decent. The décor isn’t fancy. Getting to the toilets can be a bit of an obstacle course. But the price is reasonable, it’s well-located, and the variety of food will suit everyone. The staff are friendly and will even(gasp!) smile at you.
