well, it’s down the road from my office so i thought I’d poke my head through the door. And it’s pretty alright. I had an editorial meeting here and it was the perfect place for being cosy, without having to fight your way to the bar. by that i mean it was very quiet. Well, it was a Tuesday, but were in the busiest eating and drinking part of town — it’s rare you can get to a bar in the parts, so it was a strange feeling. It’s underground which means you can’t really tell what it’s like before you go in. It’s very french. Typical brasserie looking. The food was mainly snacky and tapas-y, and the wine was great actually. I didn’t mean to have three glasses. Ooops. The wine is fairly cheap — £4 or so for a glass, but there were more expensive options. I’m just not sure you’d want to pay for them here. This is a stop off. A place for a quick meeting, not a long dinner or something like that. It’s too rough around the edges for that. Shame, as I’m pretty sure it could be a four/five star venue if they sorted the loos out and tidied it up a bit. What is it with bars in London having no locks on the toilet doors? Why? FIXTHEM! I’ll be back, but I won’t exactly be rushing to drag everyone i know there.
