Wonderful food great, service. Highly recommend. The pasta and gnocchi great flavours and the desert «Semi Freddo» a delicacy.

Amazing T-bone steak!!! Had an abundant of flavors that made it simply delicious. As I was with children couldn’t tell you the name of it or description but I completely recommend it there’s only one t-bone choice on the menu.

Excellent menu. Friendly warm kind service. Best Italian I’ve had this trip. Flavorful, simple elegant. Huge portions. The sausages dishes were not skimpy on the sausage. The pasta tastes fresh! Wine not ecpensive

Wild Boar Pappardelle was over the moon great, as was the entire meal. Sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful evening with all the scenes in Duke of York Square. Started with the Anitpasta platter for 2. The Pâté’ was my favorite, but mind friends raved about the homemade mozzarella. Finished with a capaccino that had a lovely hint of chocolate. Highly recommend and suggest arriving early and enjoying the neighborhood.

Fantastic is how I describe our lunch. Sitting outside in great weather, a very nice red wine by the glass, delicious bread with very good olive oil, pear and Gorgonzola salad, pappardelle with wild boar bolognese. Great and friendly service. Even had a nice young couple sitting next us who agreed not to smoke while sitting at their table. All in all, a perfect meal.

Good, if a bit stodgy, food and pretty good service with fun cocktails. Sitting outside is lovely if its not too cold, but inside is nice as well.

the best Margaritas and excellent sea food dishes I had in this city.(And, i traveled around the world, and live in NY where lots of good restaurants and bars are, and I’ve been to many Michelin star restaurants, and some of M rated restaurants have not as good food as this place.) The steak was also very tender. One of my fave restaurants in London. Come here whenever i visit here on business.

Nice lunch spot next to the Saatchi Gallery. They have a garden seating in the back. Italian deli and some cooked food. Not bad, but nothing memorable either.

Came for dinner on a Sunday night with 2 friends. Service superb! Food amazing! Good execution on the timing of the courses. It was a very nice setting but service did not take itself too seriously and that made our meal very comfortable. My friends live in the neighborhood and come often for the red wines. We had a bottle from Tuscany that was very good. The waiter made a fun wine cork holder/contraption out of the foil from the top of the wine bottle! The antipasti platter was the perfect way to kick off the meal and their foccaccia bread with olive oil was freshly baked and just the right about of herbs. Asparagus risotto, rabbit parpadelle and raviolis were ordered as main courses. My rabbit was very tender and not gamey at all — in fact — it was so well done it was close to the being the most tender chicken you’ve ever eaten. The consistency of the pasta was perfect. Dessert was a choice of three ice-creams — we were too full from dinner to try more. Of the flavors: vanilla, chocolate and mint — mint was the run away favorite. Fresh like a sorbet! I would happily come back again.

I have had similar experiences to Mollytron alas, and so don’t ever rush to dine out at Manicomio. Funnily enough I am lead to believe that Manicomio in Italian means madhouse, and how more apt could it be for a name! Yet another over-priced and unnecessary Italian joint in a part of town that is already saturated with them!

Ate lunch here recently and left a lot to be desired if I’m perfectly honest. Personally I feel a little bit out of place when I’m in Chelsea, let alone at a fancy restaurant in Duke of York Square, but when you have family in town, you take them somewhere to impress them. Right? Well, usually. I was embarrassed on this occasion. Manicomio is more often than not a reliably good place to have a fancy lunch. We were served in RECORD slow time, and with the most undercooked piece of swordfish ever. I complained to our waitress(which I hate doing, I should just mention) and her immediate reply was«well that’s how we cook it.» Nice. She took it away, I didn’t want a replacement, and that was that. Family enjoyed their dishes just fine, and luckily enough we weren’t charged for the swordfish. In my experience, you treat the customer with some respect, especially when they find an undercooked piece of fish on their plate. I appreciated the comp, but the waitress could have used some manners. It then took them about 20 minutes at the end of our meal to bring back the bill since they had confused ours with another table’s. Get your shit together Manicomio!
