The food is extremely overpriced. They had about 20% of the options than what the Unilocal picture shows. A tiny tiny tiny cup of mango cheesecake was 3.50. pounds, not dollars. The service was mediocre. All of that being said, I love that they have video games available for people’s use. If I were to ever come back it would be to play the games, not for the food or the service. Interesting concept, I appreciate it.

Such a great gaming place with tons of board gamers eagerly awaiting to learn and play new board games or ones that currently exist. The décor inside is really fun has many gaming references and a decent café inside to feed you while playing.

Never in a month of Sundays would I have dreamed of getting embroiled in a German fantasy board game collecting treasures from a sinking island and ‘coptering off to safety pissed on computer virus cocktails– Midori Mango shooters and celebrating with cyber Techy Tom Collins– gamer Gin Curaçaos on a Tuesday night! I’m not that sort of girl!(turns out I am) We came in search for something sweet, seeing this was a Mango themed dessert haunt popped in to find a hive of activity and got more than we bargained for. An innocent fun night of play ramped up by a ludicrous ingestion of sugar. Nice staff mad about mangoes. If you like your sweets Sega shaped or nibbles Nintendo flavoured you’ll be in high tech heaven.

Even though the front of the store is still branded to the original Mango Bar concept, it is for their other and maybe more discrete concept that I am giving the 5 star today: LOADING. Loading has become the 2nd home for a lot of people within the gaming community in the last few months — from the videogames amateur, to people working in the industry. The menu will tempt you will many videogame themed(and bloody amazing too — if I may) cocktails while your inner child will thrive on some free play, from the old Nes to the latest game released on Xbox360. And for the more traditional ones out there, there are loads of table top games to make that evening out that little more fun. Besides being run by the 2 nicest and passionate guys ever, Loading also hosts many gaming events. From the launch of Bioshock Infinite to the test of the upcoming PS4, if you are a gamer, this place is definitly a place to keep an eye on. Okay, I can’t only ramble on how amazing the place is so… The few downsides is : — Lack of visibility of Loading itself(as it is based in MADD), but apparently that will change — Truly missing beer on tap ^_^ — Maybe a bit cramped, especially on those very busy evenings.

The cutest place ever with the friendliest owner and best menu descriptions! The café offers both mango drinks/desserts and alcoholic drinks. The bf and I came here for a refreshing mango treat to escape the heat. We split a mango lassi, which is essentially a milkshake made from yogurt and mangos. It was a bit pricey though. I really love the entire video game concept of the café. I am personally not a huge gamer myself, but I really appreciated the detailing and artwork put into making this café so unique! From the menu descriptions for«Single-player cocktails» and«multi-player pitchers» to the game-inspired décor, this café is perfect for hanging out or enjoying some of its complimentary video games and board games.

More 3.5 stars probably. Also, I believe it’s actually Loading Bar now( ) rather than MADD, though it does still say MADD on the storefront so who knows… Checked it out last week and had a great time! Store décor is extremely cool. Nice video game mural on one wall, and a generally bright/happy feel all around. Love love love the video game themed drinks(in concept). Tried the Skyrim drink, and the GnT Virus. Both were too sweet though. The G&T virus is a gnt with a shot of Midori. The Midori is apparently usually served in a syringe(which would have been incredible), but for whatever reason they were out that day so we got them in shot glasses. Nonetheless, the drinks are awesomely named and have cool colours, so the small misgivings are forgiveable. Now for the games themselves. We first tried playing super mario on the SNES, and the second controller just wouldn’t work. We then played borderlands 2 on the xbox. The sound is connected to some funky box, which then basically has a headphone out. It’s understandable that they don’t want the sound blasting around the store, but they only provided one pair of headphones. Fortunately, for some odd reason, my friend actually had a headphone audio jack splitter with him(I have no idea why)… so we were both able to get sound. That being said, it was definitely a bit annoying. After Borderlands, we decided to check out some of the board/card games. They have a decent selection of games, but again, more limited than I’d like to see. We ended up playing Munchkin with two other random people in the store we asked and had a lot of fun. Pros: — I love that this exists! — Great concept Cons: — minor annoyances with the consoles/drinks/game selection It’s definitely a place to check out and I had a lot of fun. That being said, there’s just something off about the execution which I can’t quite pinpoint(hence the 3.5 stars). It would have been cool to see is more random people up for playing board games/video games with other people. It didn’t have the critical mass for that when we went, but then again, it was only late afternoon on a Thursday… It seems fairly new though so hopefully it keeps getting better.

They’ve totally changed this place up! It’s gone from a girly sweet-dessert focused joint to a nerdy-boy arcade style hangout! Still cool and with the best damn cheesecake I’ve EVER had. Loved the syringe cocktail too. Would totally go here every day if I could diabetes-proof myself ;)

I loved the décor, I loved their gaming related walls and also the fact that they’ve collaborated with loading bar who’s going to provide consoles. However, I wasn’t too in love with their passion fruit cheesecake. It wasn’t as madd as i hope it would be, and a little dry. My mango coconut sago fared a bit better. I got the last bit of sago. WIN! It was nice, if not a stupid idea for a cold day. LOL

A Mango crazy smoothie joint, with a small selection of cocktails featuring Mango as the star ingredient. The booze brought us here and while I generally prefer to do my drinking in much less well lit venues it made for a slightly surreal but fun departure from the norm.

I will preface my review by saying I ordered the wrong thing. I admit it. I didn’t get a mango-based dessert, and I regret it. So, I ordered a Snickers shake with vanilla ice cream as a base. First off, my eyes got all googly when I saw the fella throw an entire Snickers bar into the blender! WHA? There’s about 300 calories right there! No, I didn’t order a milkshake to be diet-friendly, but still! I was a mixture of horrified and delighted. I didn’t watch how the final product was made, but it resulted in a VERY milky and not at all shake-y milkshake. It was basically like milk with blended snickers thrown in, which isn’t at all appetizing. Especially when it starts to settle and… yeah, I didn’t finish it. And at £3.75, I find it a bit steep. Along with my shake I ordered one of each of the mini-cupcakes to try. They have two flavors: mango and Oreo. The frosting on the Oreo mini-cupcake was delish, but the cake was hard as a rock. Same goes for the mango cupcake, except that it didn’t have the saving grace of delicious frosting. So again, didn’t finish it, and not-surprisingly, nobody else wanted to try them. I will say, however, that I had bites of everyone’s mango driven choices and they were pretty good, especially Yee Gan’s sticky rice with fresh mango and mango ice cream. This is an addiction of mine at Thai restaurants back home, so I was happy to have it again in jolly London-town. So I would give MADD another shot, but definitely stick to the mango, which is what they are clearly known for! But seriously… the shakes need more body.

My Homebwoi Hin introduced me to this place for all things mango. We started with mango shots, and then finished with a load of different mango desserts. The jenga and funky seats make this place a little more fun, and if you are mad for all things mangoey, then this is defo on my recco list(o).

I’m definitely mad for MADD(Mango + addiction). The mango cheesecake at least. Not very sweet but really creamy and smooth. Im not so crazy about the mango and sticky rice. The rice was wet, not glutinous at all. The shop is very quirky and interesting. I especially luv the mannequin light fixtures. There’s plenty of space to sit in the back. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free wifi!

I thought only I was mad for mangos. How wrong I could be! MADD is a funky little spot in Soho where you can rock yourself some smoothies, some breakfast, or just some good times. First off, you literally can’t miss this spot, since it’s painted bright yellow. Yes, that warm happy feeling you get when looking at the building, that’s how you’ll feel when you’re inside eating and/or drinking. Go in. It’s worth it. MADD means Mango + Addiction and they’re not lying. Mango smoothies, mango cocktails, mango shooters, mango layers, mango bowls, mango ice cream, mango explosion. And they are tasty! I did the MADD Smoothie, which was yoghurt, coconut, honey and, of course, mango. And it was insanely tasty and large for £4. They’ve also got a really fun brightly coloured lounge in the back beyond the ordering counter complete with board games. Even if you’re not staying, stop in to check it out. Now, mango may not be everyone’s bag. However, if it is yours, and you have not gione here yet, then you have not lived my friend.

I love mangos — I can swim in mangos all day and this is exactly the place for it. I went with 2 other girls and they recommended the 3 choice platter which also includes an extra topping(more mangos please). I’d recommend the mango cheesecake. The place is huge inside! This is a cute place to go, chill out, play uno and indulge in … mangos!

I am definitely mad for MADD. I found this café by chance as I walked around the streets of London. And being an avid mango fan myself, you could imagine the excitement that conjured up when I spotted what I saw through the window(check out my photos). «Mango galore» were my exact words. There were a selection of desserts all made from mango. The staff were really friendly and made suggestions of what to have. I settled for the ‘Mango sponge dome’. You also have a choice of toppings. I kept mine sweet and opted for strawberry toppings. The restaurant itself was a lot of fun, with games to play at the table. The funky and quirky décor suited the feel of the restaurant. The dessert did not disappoint and lived up to my high expectations. Loved it!

If you’re a lover of all things mango, you will… well, go mad for MADD. Everything from their cocktails and shooters to dessert menu is themed around this fleshy stone fruit belonging to the genus Mangifera. You can pick a mango-based dessert and then top it off with even more mango. I tried the MADD smoothie, which was absolutely fantastic. The bubbles with the mango pudding with mango coulis were genius. If the people from MADD were ever on an Iron Chef competition with a mango challenge, those Iron Chefs would be toast.

#503MADD was, by far, one of our better stops this past Saturday in London. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect, despite having checked out their website beforehand, but I was up for their Unilocal Drinks specials. So, we made plans with some friends to meet up at MADD towards the end of an action-packed day in the city. The boyfriend and I actually had a bit of a tough time tracking down the place, but only because we completely walked past Rupert Street without realizing it. We were about 4 – 5 blocks off, so … yeah. Anyways, you can spot MADD pretty easily on the street and you’re immediately transported to a strange and quirky realm when you step in through the door. Everyone is cheery, having fun, and smiling! Such a difference from the tourist crowds we ran into all day. The atmosphere was infectious and I was already feeling my second wind of the day kicking in by the time we tracked down our friends(including Bailey Z). Once we sat down, they started to rave about the Mango Smoothie(½-price for Unilocal Drinks) and it immediately went on our list. I was also up for a small dessert, so two of us went upstairs to check out what they had. I eventually decided on the Mango Cheesecake, even though I wanted to order one of everything — they all looked so delicious! The dessert came with a small side and I went with the Mango Jelly. YUM! My friend went with the Mango Bubbles, which turned out to be little bursts of mango heaven. So delicious. And the friends weren’t wrong about the Mango Smoothie. It was so thick, creamy, and sweet. I wanted to drink the entire thing in one gulp! Too bad I was sharing with the boyfriend. =\ The cheesecake was also pretty good, but not one of their best offerings. I actually liked the jelly more. Ha. Oh, and games are offered for people to play, so there was a huge party seated in the bottom floor with us and they were having a blast. If I find myself in the area again with some time to kill, I would definitely opt for MADD. The bright colors, cheery dispositions, and delicious desserts are more than worth the price and walk.

You had me at Hello. If you love all things Mango(the fruit, not the character on SNL) then you’re in for a treat. Besides having some pretty delicious treats to feast the eyes upon there are also games to play while you get your sugar rush on. From smoothies to thai coconut rice with mango to a most perfectly smooth panna cota, MADD does a good job of seamlessly blending kitsch with talented mango loving patisssarie’ing. All in all, a fun place for a date or get together with friends.

I’m not sure about the origin of this shop’s name but perhaps the owners could be a little MADD. They’ve literally put all their fruit into one fruit basket. MADD specialises in all things mango. No, seriously. They’ve turned it into every conceivable dessert and drink and combination thereof. I happen to like mango and this is my idea of heaven. Slightly expensive heaven but nonethless yummy. I wish them every success, mainly so that I can continue to come here and eat my way through the rest of their menu.
