Went here to catch up with an old friend and it was spot on. They have enough bar staff so that you get served straight away and a very good selection of drinks and local ales to chose from. The décor is rather cool too and there is an abundance of seating available — Big oak farmhouse style tables or little old man pub type wing backed chairs. There is a further«area» to the rear of the pub, which looks like you can go here with a large group of friends and it would suit well. There is food available, we only had the sliders as we weren’t that hungry, but for what they were they are fine and arrived quickly. If you want to meet up with someone that doesn’t know the area, then this is an ideal location as it is bang opposite the Mornington Crescent tube station. Outside there is just the pathway, that is it, one small table and 2 chairs. So not somewhere to go and watch the World go by. If you are waiting to meet friends you can sit towards the end of the bar as you then have good clear vision of who is coming in both doors. Toilets were immaculate too. I was a bit meh when I ordered a bottle of wine, it was just plonked in front of me and there was not bucket or cooling device given — this in a really busy pub I can fully understand, but when I ordered it there were only about 3 groups of people in there. So, all in all, a positive experience and one I will definitely use when meeting up with friends in small or large groups.

A good sized pub with a focus on local beers. Lots of bench seating in the back means Lyttelton can accommodate big groups. For those unfamiliar with the local brews, the bartenders here are more happy to advise and share their thoughts.

If you go to Camden Market during the day and find yourself looking for a decent pub to have a drink in as your day comes to an end you could do worse than the Lyttleton arms. Even shortly before closing they have a decent atmosphere and staff who welcome you instead of giving the impression they can’t be bothered to serve you. The prices are reasonable and they have an ok selection of wine and beer, much of which is cheaper than a lot of other pubs in the area. They have a food menu which looks ok for pub grub, including some special offers that are likely to entice people in.

STICKYTOFFEEPUDDING. That’s all you need to know about the Lyttleton. My friend and I decided we needed something sweet before heading home, so we popped in and found heaven. The pudding came warm and not overly sweet. The inside was moist and it all paired well with creamy vanilla ice cream. The rest of the menu looked delicious as well, we eyed all the food that pass us with envy, but our stomachs wouldn’t allow it.

Look out for the panther! The Lyttelton arms is a good sized pub that serves a good selection of drinks and offers up the usual Castle pub food options from burgers through the fried chicken, pasta through to steak… and a host of other things in between and on top of. It’s all good quality and cooked well from what I’ve experienced. Being sat where it is at number 1 Camden High Street, the clientele are a mishmash of office workers, pre-gig’ers, and every other demographic that you’d expect from its location — and this is a good thing as it really adds to the ambiance and the buzz of the place to see the hotpot bubble. I think if there were to be any complaints it would be that some of the staff could maybe smile more, and that the prices could maybe look to be dropped 5% or so, but beyond that, this place is just a really nice bar with really good stock! But maybe that little bit extra is added onto the prices of drinks to pay for the panther food.

A nice place for a pint but nothing exceptional. There’s apparently a pub quiz«for geeks» on Tuesday night at 7 but we arrived too late for that!

Nice and spacious pub — good selection of beer. Probably had one too many. Strangely a DJ rocks up around 8 and there’s a table reserved for his stand. Not too bad but didn’t think it was the kind of place people would start dancing in. One thing to highlight is the chorizo sausage rolls. Who woulda thought that would be a good combination? Maybe it was too much beer and lack of food that made it amazing but on the other hand, who doesn’t love sausage rolls?

I booked a table here for my birthday as I’ve been for a drink there and found it to be a nice place to hang out, so thought why not give the food a go. Having read a review saying that much of the menu was sold out, when I called to book I specifically asked whether there would be food left when we arrived and got a yes, of course type response. On arriving, I told the girl at the bar that I’d booked a table for 10 people. None of the tables were reserved for us but it was quiet so this wasn’t a problem and we proceeded to order drinks and choose from the food menu. A full 10 minutes after we’d sat down, a very friendly staff member came over and informed us that most of the menu had run out!!! She then arranged for us to have a table at the Edinboro Castle(apparently the Lyttelton Arms sister pub), and refunded what we’d paid for drinks. I would really rate the service I received and they dealt with the problem well(once they realised, I’m still not sure how we were left sitting down for so long before anyone spoke to us). However, this was my birthday meal, and it was a pretty traumatic evening. I would recommend that if you do plan to eat here, you double check on the day that they have your reservation!!!

A nice pub in a usually very busy and always trendy part of London. I had both draught drinks as well as mixed drinks and while my pint(and those of others in my group) was just fine, the mixed drinks were weak. I’m not sure what they use as a standard measure for spirits at the Lyttelton Arms, but it certainly seems to be less than other London pubs and bars. And, for the price of the drinks, that was especially disappointing. While I didn’t eat, other members of my group did and enjoyed the burgers as well as the fish and chips. Those who had the fish all noted that it was a bit salty, however. The American(North American, at least) bartender was very friendly and attentive, but that can’t be said for all. The great ambiance and non-overpowering music help to earn this pub 3 stars instead of 2. I wouldn’t mind returning.

Formerly The Crescent, this corner pub is apparently named in honour of the late host of the BBC radio show I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue due to its proximity to Mornington Crescent station(the subject of a game played on that panel show). The pub hosts a quiz night named after the show, though I don’t know how similar in format it is. The interior is nicely furnished with quirky lamps and a large mural on the back wall. There are plenty of cask ales available which are served in handled pint jars. Staff were pleasant and friendly on my visit(always a strong plus in my book). Music policy was all over the place — one minute there was a funk-based dirge polluting the speakers, the next they were playing ace Bear In Heaven jawn ‘Lovesick Teenagers’. Food selection indicates ambition to gastropub status(with corresponding pricing). While the size of the vegetable portions were a tad miserly and one meal having its cherry tomatoes bizarrely replaced by grilled lettuce, the salmon, lamb and steak we ordered were all competently produced — the lamb in particular was deemed to be particularly flavourful. Overall, the pub was well suited to our requirements that evening — namely a convening point prior to a visit to Koko — and provides an alternative option to the Cobden Arms.
