Came here as it ticked a few boxes, near work, near a station, cocktails and on tastecard: D Have glanced at this establishment a few times on passing and thought it would be a little to loud and busy for an old dear such as myself. I like to try and find places where it is not too busy, loud and I can sit down to rest and talk to whomever I’m with. Because it isn’t well lit from the outside I mistakenly labeled it as the opposite. However, on entering I was immediately welcomed. I had booked a table in advance although, on this Tuesday night it was not needed. Comfortable seating area at the front, bar along the side and I believe to be a much bigger area downstairs which was not open today(as not necessary). They have a good selection of cocktails made with decent quality spirits e.g. Monkey Shoulder for the whisky element. Although reasonably priced around £8−11, they were strong and delicious not over bearing on the fruit juice. We happily made our way through the list consuming around 4 each excitedly selecting our next treat not knowing what we might get! Starting to get a little hungry and figuring that there was food because it’s on Tastecard right? We found out that they focus on cocktails not food but supply something to munch on. This is in the form of Toasties!!! Yup, Toasties. And just like the cocktails, they come in exciting flavours, not just cheese and ham(although there is a version of this) and a few to select from. The toasties did hit the mark and, although, because we were only having toasties we thought we’d have one and move on, we did end up staying and consuming 2 more and staying until they allowed us to stay no more :( Staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable, cool place to be I say and, depending on how busy it gets, could become a favourite for a quick drink on the way home.

Good low key cocktail spot during the day and spot to kick off the night in Shoreditch.

This was a lovely little spot in Shoreditch. I just popped in there briefly but would love to go back! The fellow that helped me was delightful!

I came to this bar with some friends the night after Halloween, after hearing about it from a trusted Unilocal Elite(thanks, Isabella M.!). As it was still Halloween time, all the waiters had their faces painted and the whole bar was decorated in a cute-spooky way. There are two quite different spaces here: the cozy one you see as you enter, with some tables and a bar, and the one downstairs, with a small dancing floor and a DJ. I gotta say my favorite was the second one: there was some loungy/dancy music going on and we could sit down, enjoy our drinks and appreciate the fun costumes the other customers were wearing. After getting a very positive recommendation, I ordered the«Sink the Pink»(or something similar), that reminded me of a Cosmopolitan, but not quite the same. It was pretty tasty and I soon decided I’d have another one(although, as everything in London, I found 7 pounds to be a bit pricy for it). The staff was fun and cool and the whole atmosphere made the night really enjoyable. I would certainly recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking for a chilled/cool bar to have a couple of drinks.

By far my favorite cocktail bar in London! The drinks are awesome, everybody is friendly, staff, clients, security guard. EVERYBODY! People are there are happy to talk with other and get to know new people. I when there last night just for one drink before going back home and I end up pretty much helping them closing the place! Hahah, this little bar is very cozy and welcoming :) They also have a place downstairs when they have a dj sometimes on the weekends

Loves Company has a re-modeled interior and cocktail menu, both excellent. My latest favourite cocktails there are Sink the Pink and Let the Good Times Roll. I agree wholeheartedly with Matt R.‘s comments, and the addition of the toasties was genius. These guys are as creative with their food as with the drink. They couldn’t just add your basic toastie to the menu. Oh no. These toasties have faaaabuous names and unique ingredients like Cheezus of Nazareth(smoked cheddar and English mustard), Crustin Bieber(Marmite & Northumberland), and Pico Suave(with guacamole). Oh, and the Notorious PIG(roast pork, rocket & Northumberland) What is there not to love about this place?

As always, Loves Company delivers! I’ve been here a couple of times with my girlfriend and have always been impressed with the cocktails and(in the case of my second visit) toasties on offer. It’s one of those cool out of the way bars that unless you know it’s here, you’d walk straight past it. There are a few things I love about this place over other bars on the area… The fact that they make their own elements to their cocktails. By which I mean they make their own syrups and bitters etc. the second is the cozy homely feel it has on the inside. If you are in the area, this is a real must!

Came here on the soft launch of their toastie competition, where for 10 weeks this summer they have London’s top chefs competing to create their spin on the snack. What an awesome idea! We were on a guest list, and once we got in it was free cocktails and toasties for all! I will always remember the delicioius pork belly toastie once we stepped in the door, which was followed by a satay one that I thought was almost too good to be true. As for the drinks, upstairs we had a whisky /prosecco mix that was delicious, but downstairs I asked for a sweet vodka based drink and the bartender came out with something that had too much cayenne pepper… was very difficult to drink. But this place is such a good find! Personally I think Nightjar has more of a cool unique feel, but I would definitely not mind grabbing a cocktail here first, especially if they consider adding those toasties to their menu!

I had the Taste of Orient cocktail, and it was good. Nice décor, ambience, and bartender. Would go back here for sure.
