Heartbroken. Absolutely ruined my favourite silk skirt. I went in on a recommendation after my skirt had beer spilled on it the night before. There were a couple of fresh beer marks which needed to come out and rather than soak myself I decided to take it to the professionals. My skirt has come back with even more stains on it and faded patches everywhere. I have also noticed smal cuts all over the skirt What have they done to it?!! £10 out of pocket and a ruined skirt.

I don’t actually believe my garment was cleaned. The whole experience left a bad taster. My dress wasn’t there when I went to pick it up. The owner had to go down the road 5 minutes and came back with mine in a different looking bag then all the rest. Not one stain was removed and I am 100% convinced this was not cleaned at all. There wasn’t a hint of a smell of cleaner. The dress is needed for a wedding tomorrow and I am left absolutely gutted now as I need to bring it somewhere else and don’t have time. TERRIBLE

3.5 stars, rounding to 4 because you should definitely go here rather than the behemoth, expensive American Dry Cleaners across the street.
It’s a cute little local dry cleaner, run by just one person as far as I can tell. The older guy who runs it doesn’t talk much, but he’ll remember you by face (albeit not by name — I’m forever going to be Sarah on all my dry cleaning tags).
I live nearby, so he delivers my items for free — this is a HUGE plus for me and the main reason I use him. The quality of the cleaning is standard; I’ve had a really tough stain or two he couldn’t get out, but he does try. Prices are very fair overall, though the big boon is when he occasionally runs a «clean any items for £5» promotion. I’m always watching for that magic sign!
Two issues that prevent it from getting my top ratings: turnaround time is inconsistent (and often doesn’t match what he says it will be) and the tailoring for larger repairs is only so-​so. Totally worthwhile for a minor rip or the like, but I had a major rip where the seam was redone slightly crooked after nearly 3 weeks of waiting.
