The house wine was an impressive £2.95 for a 175ml glass, and the wine itself was perfectly drinkable. For starters, we chose the pakora and onion bhaji dishes — the bhaji in particular was very good, crispy and tasty. As a main course, I had the Lamb Tikka Pakheeza. The lamb wasn’t quite as tender as I’d have liked, but otherwise the curry was top notch — with minced meat, capsicum, ginger, onions and tomatoes. The dish wasn’t particularly spicy, so good for those with a lower tolerance to the hot stuff. I did also have a taste of the Naga Lamb Tikka Dhansak, which was very tasty but also very spicy! With my Tastecard offering 50% off food, our total bill was £31 — and that included two drinks each! If you don’t have a Tastecard though, they do 50% off Sunday-Thursday anyway, as well as takeaway if you’re feeling lazy. On a par with some of the Brick Lane Indian eatieries I’ve been to, I really enjoyed Leytonstone Spice — good Indian food, served well and at a decent price.

Food arrived in 30mins. I also put in a special requests for the dish to be slightly spicer. They called to discuss how hot I wanted it. I was pleasantly surprised that when it arrived it was spot on. Will very likely order from these guys again.(Takeaway — 21/06/2015)
