Wonderful venue, great to see it being used for international competitions after the Olympics. Most seats have a really good view and they offer sessions for you to come and try out cycling on the track for yourself!

I would have given this review 4 stars, as the cycling experience was fantastic, however, the only slot we could get was at 9pm and at that time the café is closed. So if you have anyone with you coming along to watch there is not much available. The hour spent cycling goes by really quickly, but is well spent with clear tuition and going round at different levels. It’s amazing to see the entire facility up close, especially just how steep the track has been built. I am really interested to go back and try out the children’s cycling, as the adult experience was great and very worth the money.

Why do you keep hitting on Allie? Leave Allie alone. This stadium is named after that concept. My personal experience here is that I toured the whole Olympic facilities when I was in England most recently in late 2014. I think I checked in to some of the facilities, actually. I enjoyed the facilities as a whole, but the Velo Park(my father was a bike shop owner, so he really wanted to see it) was a little disappointing for all of us. It was extremely underwhelming. I can’t believe that this is supposed to be the home of Olympic Cycling in England… it looks like it was a quick fix… a gymnasium at best with poor facilities, and an absolutely insane amount charged for everything. Definitely I was expecting it to be bigger, more luxurious, and built to last instead of like a quick fix. Having said that it looked great on TV, even if the actual experience is underwhelming, so I guess it served a purpose.

I’m giving the Olympic Velodrome 4 stars because it is not big enough and because the facilities are not good enough. Toilets are a bit small and badly arranged. The food vending is basic snack food and priced beyond belief(600% margin). The good stuff: It looks fantastic. It’s easy to move around it. Seats are very comfortable, spacious and nearly all have a good view. The venue is kept at 28 degrees so don’t wear a thick jumper. Track cycling is a very exciting sport. At times you are reliant on commentary to know what is going on. At this venue getting close to the action is easy. The riders are very focused and have visors so appear to be fine with flash photography from about 2 ft away. I’d recommend any sports fan catching some event here. Especially as GB rule at cycling currently.
