A quaint off the street place where you can grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat. It’s conveniently located within a minute walk of Harrods.

Wonderful hidden place behind the busy Harrods area. The goat cheese and onion focaccia was great. The bacon lettuce tomato was very good. Loved the coziness of the place. Highly recommend for a quick lunch if visiting Harrods.

Friendly wait staff and good food. I’m not a big coffee person, but their mocha was so good I ordered a second one. My wifey ordered the fish and chips. She thought the fish was a little heavy and greasy. I ordered the steak and chips. I asked for medium-well with a little bit of pink. I don’t know if it was me or them, but my steak was well done. For me it was too dry and chewy.

Cozy restaurant with relaxed ambience hidden in the basement of The Levin hotel. Literally few steps from Harrods and Harvey Nichols but still in a quite side street. Food and service is always excellent and the prices are okay for this posh area of London!

This was without a doubt one of the highlights of our dining experiences while in London. First it’s attached to one of the great boutique hotels owned by the Levin family who have been on Basil street, right by Harrods, for nearly 40 years(we are staying at the Capital). Our server, Natasha, could not have been more delightful and helpful. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and delivered on a timely basis. Nothing was over or undercooked and all were interesting and tasted great. We loved this place. If you are looking for a quiet, charming restaurant in a very busy part of town this is it. If you are at Harrods, which is literally a half block away, don’t miss it.

This was one of the two delicious meals we had in London. The great thing about this place, for us, was that they had chicken goujons(aka tenders) for our picky kids. Service was excellent and friendly. Totally recommend this for families with kids above age 6⁄7.

A cold end of the day after touring around and a little shopping, we asked a doorman at Harrod’s where we could go for a drink and good food, quiet and relaxing, without a loud scene, and he said, Oh you want Le Metro, a little wine bar just ahead, downstairs from the Levin Hotel. He was exactly right. A couple of Californians used to the best food, we found the goat cheese and greens salad, the Shepherd’s Pie and the Roast Chicken all delicious, warming and just right in the very comfortable chairs, in the welcoming room — not silent, but friendly and warm. Delish desserts — the Eton Mess and the Apple Crumble — and a lovely Merlot and a lovely Malbec by the glass. Oh, and coffee and an a hot herbal tea to top it off. Could not have left happier.

We stumbled upon this little place after some touristing at Harrods and boy were we delighted! The food was great, though overall casual. Our party ordered the daily special ravioli, fish and chips, a hamburger to make you weep, and a chicken dish. All were exemplary. To finish the evening, we had a variety of teas, the flour-less chocolate cake, and the lemon/berry tart. DELICIOUS! The servers were knowledgeable about the dishes and helped us to find nut and gluten free items on the menu. To top it off, our server was hilarious and very knowledgeable about London. He was entertaining while telling us stories about the city. It was a great way to end the day of intense city exploring.

Great little restaurant/pub. Very good food at reasonable prices. Good service. Right near the Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge. Worth a visit after shopping at Harrods.

Had afternoon tea here since it was the least expensive place. We arrived early, had a great table and ordered filtered coffee as we waited for tea time. The coffee was okay, but crazy expensive for a cup. That part was very disappointing; especially since there aren’t any refills! Tea time was exactly what I expected, however, it took a while to flag the waitress down to get our check. Once we flagged her down everything was very efficient. Cost was about 15 pounds per person.

More casual than I had thought, which was somewhat disappointing. It felt more like a pub than the posh outside unfortunately. The food was just alright — the hummus not very flavorful and the toasted bread wedges that came with it literally sat in a little splat of oil which was not very tasty. The tuna was cooked very well but nothing out of the ordinary and the fish and chips were just okay. For the price, the ambience and service didn’t seem up to par. But, right by Harrods — it’s tucked away from the busy traffic.
