Stopped here after a Chelsea game for dinner. The Lamb chops are off the chain. I had the Buffalo Vindaloo, maybe it is the meat, but I was not thrilled with the taste. Service here is great, have not complain. Nice restaurant to eat at after the game while the crowd thins out.

Delicious food, friendly service and a nice ambiance. It’s nice to find a curry restaurant that’s a cut above the rest.

Oh Kishmish how I miss you. I visited London and was fortunate enough to find this place about a mile from my hotel. Hands down the best indian food I’ve ever had. I would describe it as a contemporary Indian restaurant, friendly, nice décor and not pretentious. Traditional flavors but elevated to something like I’ve never had before. So flavorful, spicy, and delicious. I was in London for a week and ate there twice it was so good. I wish I could remember the name of the dishes we had both nights, but they were some chicken and lamb dishes and were amazing. We had appetizers and main courses and they were all delicious. I recommend going hungry and trying several things. If you aren’t sure what to order ask your server, they won’t let you down. Maybe there are other places as good in London but I’ve never had anything like it in the US. Till I make it back to London I’ll be dreaming about the food.

Good Indian food but I miss the traditional Indian menu(aka British Indian). Foods are good and tasty. Staffs are super friendly and helpful when it comes to choose from the menu. But once awhile, you do fancy chicken tika masala or Indian grill and they don’t have that.

The food at Kishmish varies in taste and flavour. My husband and I have ordered takeaway from them twice. The first time, the order online didn’t go through so we had to call in and re-order… not exactly inspiring the picture of confidence. When the food arrived, it was beautifully packed and well-labeled, still hot. The next time we received our online order, it came in good time and was also well packaged and warm; however, the dishes lacked in flavour and spices… Last night, we went to the physical restaurant for a dinner out with friends. We arrived at 7:30pm and ordered in a reasonable time. One of the members of our party tried to order the duck, and the waiter looked at him and bluntly stated, «that will take over 40 minutes.» After some comments about how it would be nice if the menu stated that clearly, our friend decided to order something that wouldn’t take so long. Even so… we waited over an hour for our food to arrive at the table. The kitchen seemed to have had some trouble and was filled up with smoke, but we only realized this when we went to visit the loo. The waitstaff made no mention nor any excuse for the delay in the receipt of our food. When the food finally arrived, our waiter started to plop the dishes down and in a barely audible voice, mumbled what a few of them were. When we asked him to clarify which dish was which, he looked up at us as if we had somehow offended him, and picked up one of the plates — as if he was threatening to take it away again! He then told us which was which. The food was, admittedly, quite good — in fact, better than either time we had ordered it takeaway. Although this was a welcome surprise, the service was so lacking that instead of a lovely night out with good conversation and friends, the entire conversation turned to how terrible the service had been, and what a horrid attitude our waiter had. The only good service we received was from the busboy — who was attentive, friendly, and deserved a tip unto himself.

It has been four years since I have eaten at Kishmish, but my last memory of it was great. With that in mind we planned to eat at Kishmish again upon our return to London. We originally booked a reservation for Christmas Eve via Table Top, only to have the reservation cancelled without explanation a couple of days before we left for the UK. Not to be dissuaded, we showed up without a reservation with friends on boxing day. We were immediately seated and our evening began. We started with a some cocktails from their cocktail menu. The four of us picked a different cocktail and they arrived one at a time. I must say, all of them were expertly prepared and delicious. My only concern is on a busy night, I wonder how they would get all these out in a reasonable time. Our waiter suggested an appetizer plate, the mixed tiffin platter, for the table which we agreed to. I ordered the Hyderabadi Lamb Shank for my main. The tiffin platter was expertly prepared and alluded to a wonderful meal to come. My Lamb Shank arrived with the mushroom rice as a side. The lamb was tender and very flavorful. The rice was a delicious companion. As we sipped our wine, all of us were cooing about how wonderful all our meals were prepared and the attentive and not obtrusive service. Four years on and still my favorite indian restaurant in London. We will always come back to Kishmish when we find ourselves on the Fulham Road.

Really enjoyed the food here. It’s been a struggle to find a good Indian in London and this place was a welcome surprise. There was 5 of us in the group and each meal was lovely. We had no complaints. Would recommend this place and would revisit myself definitely!

The food was excellent. We ordered the garlic chicken but vindaloo spicy and it was really hot. As other reviews have noted the service wasn’t the best, but they were very friendly and pleasant.

Slow service, sub-standard Indian curry house, average prices. I would avoid.

Great spot for a chic but casual take on Indian food. The place looks quite modern and is intimate. I highly suggest the lamb shank from the regional specialties menu. It was probably one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere(Indian and non-Indian prepared). I got it with the unpolished rice which was also excellently prepared with spices. The samosas were fried in a lighter way than I’m used to which I actually enjoyed a lot. You could really tell they cared about presentation and the taste. As a lonely American traveler, I was very happy to stop by here.

I can already tell after only a week living in this area that this place is going to be a frequently visited restaurant. The staff are efficient and friendly and are happy to make suggestions. The menu itself is standard curries as well as many different options, which made it harder to decide just what exactly to order. See you tonight for my takeaway order…

The food was great, the menu intriguing: not just your standard curries. My starter was fried chick-peas done in a way I now want to recreate at home(ideal bar-snack with beer). I went with two starter-size tandoori dishes, the lamb chops and chicken(ordered the 3-way, got std tikka), and spinach/cauliflower/potato. The starter sizes were small, but worked well for me as I am not a huge eater(and would rather try more things). Service was more mixed on the ordering front: I thought I ordered a regular chapati with butter and got a sweet version instead. At one point, oddly over-attentive: the waiter came over and moved my beer a few inches further away from me, assuming it was in imminent danger near my right hand given I was working on my starter. Note to readers: I have never ever knocked over my(first) beer at dinner! 5 stars for the food, most definitely.

Standard curry house. Service a little slow. Like to pile in as many drinks as possible whilst you are waiting for the food. Avoid on match days as you will never make it to the door. Unless of course you have been to the match, in which case this is very handy!

Kishmish is a happening little Indian restaurant just off Fulham Rd near the Chelsea FC stadium. It’s a great spot for a lunch or dinner and the food doesn’t disappoint! The venue itself is attractive if not a bit dated: interesting modern art mixed with cracking faux leather booths. There was a steady stream of customers coming in for take away or having a sit down meal. For an appetizer I tried the tiger prawn curry, which was a nice curry on top of prawn, all heaped on a slab of flat bread. The curry itself was mild and sweet, but the prawns were a bit strong flavored. It would have been better without the prawn. For an entrée I got the chicken rogan curry with an order of the cheese and chili nan. While the rogan was great – well-stewed, tender chicken in a sweet curry – it was the nan that stole the show: perfectly cooked bread topped with chili flakes and garlic, rounded up by delicious goat cheese melted inside. Sometimes built-up nan can come off pizza-like, but this still kept true to its roots and went very well with the main entrée. The food alone would be worthy of 5 stars, but the night I went the service was dodgy. We had to flag down servers down multiple times to place orders, get water, and pay. If the service had been a little better, this would definitely be 5 stars!

Amazing Indian restaurant… Seafood tiffin platter was amazing and korma to die for… I tried the coconut and garlic rice with curry leaves, and it was really really good. While we were having dinner, there was many people coming in to order take away food, so it seems to be very popular in the neighborhood . Great staff, great service, and discounted with the Tastelondon card… I’ll be back for sure!

The food at Kishmish is consistently very good. They have the traditional curries, and also some more innovative and interesting dishes, but it’s always fresh and tasty. I’ve never tasted anything here that is super spicy, so if you are looking for a burn-your-mouth off Vindaloo, this might not be the place for you. Don’t be turned off by it’s bizarre location between the Fulham Bdwy tube station and Chelsea Football Stadium. It can get busy, so it’s probably worth booking a table if you are set on your Kishmish.

«Kishmish is a new restaurant dedicated to classic and contemporary Indian cuisine. Our aim is that the Kishmish experience provides you with a relaxing ‘Ashram’ away from the busy, stressful, everyday experience of London life, in an environment which evokes the essence of sub-continental Indian culture in modern surroundings» Above is what the owners say about this place, what can I tell you, yes it has a modern feel to it which is fine, the food is good and it is a pleasant restaurant located in Fulham and one that I would recommend. They have a real problem with the windows steaming up which gives you a bad impression when you arrive at the place but don’t let that put you off. Being modern in design doesn’t mean that they charge the earth and I have never been shocked by the bill. Defo worth a visit, pop over to The Pelican(see review on this site) afterwards for a drink. Job done.
